So, in my opinion Lelouch is really dead. Besides, what CC said at the end is entirely ambiguous. We all know just how cryptic she can be at times, really. It's quite possible that she was simply throwing the comment out there and not talking to anyone in particular.

I too believe he is still alive Before anyone, if anyone starts arguing with me, I believe he is alive because I want more seasons.
So I believe I've found another clue that might suggest he is alive. It doesn't have to mean anything, and it probably doesn't but I like to lie to myself :D

The clue (If you can call it that way) is hidden in the song that starts from the moment Lelouch dies :D

I believe it is called Continued Story Yes, the name itself suggests that Lelouch might be alive, although it may refer to the rest of the people :D

Also lyrics of the song may confirm that he still lives(At least in another world...)

Why do people drag him on in being alive. I am a huge fan of Code Geass. "If you are willing to kill, the prepared to be killed."

For all those who think he had code, he used geass after charles died, or got absorbed or w.e. You don't get your geass after you get immortality.

Nunally agruement is simple, she broke the code out of will power. She is different from anyone else. Maybe she got immortality by breaking the code.

Now if Lelouch somehow got code(immortality) then his speech to suzaku just proves that he passed his code to suzaku, and he can because he geassed suzaku.

As for CC at the end on the wagon. I am pretty sure she was talking to herself and looking up to the sky.
I believe he died. I think the ending was beautiful. If he was alive then the ending would be ruined. This ending is like Saving Private Ryan. It's not really sad, but more epic because of the meaning behind their death. I think he knew he couldn't live on with all of the dirty deeds he has done. How could he look at his one reason for living in the face, nunally? He became a monster to protect his siser, and died a brother in her eyes. The ending should end with him dieing or all meaning would be twisted and I would start to hate this anime.

Good thing R3 is all new characters that just look the same for a side story. I was worried this ending would actually get ruined, but the producer, and Sunrise have stated that he is dead.
