Ah how I miss these teen days in the arcades or at the local 7-11. I thought why not share in a topic on those games. Whether good or bad even today, what arcade games did you see many a quarters be taken away so you can play to your heart's content and what made you coming back for more.

I can go to some of those awesome multiplayer platform beat 'em ups from the 90's. There was Final Fight and then there were the bigger machines like the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Simpsons, X-men, Spiderman, and many more. I also loved the shooters, from the jets like in Aero Fighters to gun games like the Time Crisis, Point Blank and Silent Scope series, hey, even Terminator 2!

A few sports game got to me like NBA Jam and NFL Blitz, as did some driving games like Ironman Ivan Stewart's Off Road Racing (a rare 3 player game), Crazy Taxi, and Emergency Call Ambulance. Fighting games sure took a lot of my arcade time with older ones like Street Fighter 2: Championship Edition, Samurai Showdown 2, Star Gladiator, Mortal Kombat 2, Killer Instinct (wow why were some of them that enticing I will never know) at the local arcade to later one games like Tekken 5, Project Justice, the Marvel Vs. Capcom games, and Soul Calibur 2.

Oh I almost forgot the music genre games like DDR (though not that good at it I still love it), and Para Para Dancing. Other odd games I played where Smash TV (two joysticks!), Bubble Bobble and Bust a Move.

Looking forward to your memory lanes in those arcades!

Yeah, I really loved Time Crisis back in the days...

And XMEN Children of the Atom, XMEN VS. StreetFighter... all the way up to Marvel Vs. Capcom!

And who would forget the good 'ol Ridge Racer! And Sega Rally Championship! I'd still play those games even with Intitial D and Midnight Run out!

I also remember when they brought back arcade classics... like Mappy and Pac-Man... Galactica... ooh! The "quarters" I lost playing those games...

Yeah arcades are pretty dead now, and expensive.

I remember when they used to be awesome though, I think they died along with the 16-bit era of console gaming. PS2 era was the last nail in the coffin though.

Anyone remember Revolution X?

hmmm for now i think big music games like beatmania and DDR take up the most money of an arcade. next i think it would either be all those initial D series, or other racing games but i usually see initial D the most and their graphics are better. next would be all the 2-d arcade fighters which are awsome, street fighter 3, marvel v.s. capcom 2, guilty gear XX, capcom v.s. SNK and etc. next would be the shooters i guess, all the timcrisis and house of the dead games are what i usually see.

my favourite arcade game for now would i guess be marvel v.s. capcom 2 even though i kinda suck at the game but its still so much fun. i would play the music games but you always have to wait for other people and i dont have the time for that

Nowadays, if I ever go into an arcade I play DDR. (If it is available) & Metal slug is one of my favorites.
They don't really have any good arcade games in Hong Kong...sucks.

Dig-dug ftw. I'm not very fond of the new-ish games they have in arcades so I don't really go anymore. I like the old school pinball and pacman.

I go to the arcade everyday during my lunch period on school weekdays (The Mall is a 5-10 minute walk). The arcade I go to is always busy however.

I go there to play ITG, since it kills time quickly and I'm good at it.

The games that make the most money at the arcade would be:
#1 - Maximum Tune 3 (They got 6 machines)
#2 - Foosball/Jitz (They got 7-8 tables)
#3 - Pool (They got 3 tables)
#4 - In The Groove2/ITG
#5 - Marvel vs. Capcom 2
