No you little idiots. It is fucking wrong. You're taking for free what should be bought. You're taking the intellectual property of someone else without giving him the proper remuneration for it. Even if the guys who fansub don't get money they are taking the intellectual property of someone else and giving it out for free. It is somehow like Robbin Hood just that instead of taking it from the rich to give it to the poor, it takes it from hardworking people who deserve their earnings and gives it to stupid teenagers that don't value the hard work needed to make the products they are enjoying.

Yeah it's wrong but I don't really care. If I could download free shit without my stupid computer crashing every time, I would. xP
I don't have money, I can't buy shit, so if I can get it for free I will.

Hey, it's still illegal!

Piracy is morally destestable. Even if you're robbing from a "big" company like EA, those companies are still entitled to make money off what they sell. Stop trying to defend yourselves: pirating is a scumfuck maneuver, and there's no justification for it.

most of us are very well aware of the fact that piracy is illegal and has legal repercussions. but until the day I get arrested and my computer bagged, tagged and presented to a court of law.. I'll download what I want, when I want and how I want; be it P2P, DDL or FTP.

There are plenty of other and debate-ably morally detestable acts the businesses we're 'robbing' from commit, so... I don't really feel too bad about it. And you can't make me feel bad about it. x]

In that case, you're advised to read the last sentence of my previous statement.

Drop the quotation marks. There's no debate: in downloading copyrighted material for free, you are stealing it.

I want to bring up a burning question I've had for a long time now, and it's about downloading from a torrent or website. Namely, this one. Why don't you allow downloads from this site? It's been really bugging me. Obviously this is directed towards the CR department, but if anyone else wants to chip in, be my guest. Anyway. It's been bothering me, because clearly the safety net on this site is easily ripped hence why there are such sites as HorribleSubs et al.

They don't even care you talk about them. They know CR cannot shut them down, or TVTokyo, because it's out of their jurisdiction. I hear their servers are based in Germany, so it's Germany's business to conclude. And if they don't give a shit about it, it's basically means this, "I hope you'll reconsider doing what you're doing, but we can't do anything about it."

So, in other words, what's stopping you?

I know it would ease my mind, since streaming really is dung. It's slow, unreliable and solely dependent on a stable internet connection. If you could download, you'd have a stable .mkv copy that hopefully won't quit halfway because it's buffering, or lagging, or for whatever reason. It's probably because of advertising, but here's a question. So what? Some people prefer to stream, some people don't. Some because it eases their conscience and some because it's more convenient. Seeing as it's being done already anyway, I don't see the point in not.

Note: Oh, and I post it here because it's the only thread with the word 'download' and I'm unable to make my own thread(s) at the moment.
