a very fitting line for the anime, dont u think?
i don't think that question can ever be answered...for every person, but if u must find a speed for a certain person, it is difficult...searching the world for someone (and no, its not a small world, so whoever wrote that song is really incorrect =.=)

so wat speed do you think akaki could be able to go at, to meet akari again, if he was willing to? (or wat if there is no speed?)

^the speed is actually the title itself... probably.

I kind of though 5 centimeters per second was the speed, but not. I picture two petals falling at the same speed, crossing paths briefly only to float apart again. Think how petals fall, like a helix.

hm...i just suddenly noticed what a strange topic i posted o.o"...does it seem like a rather dumb question? xD...
5 cm/second...i have a feeling akari was travelling at a faster speed than takaki, because it seemed like takaki was living a lazier, slightly poorer life than akaki...

Yeah. It's presumed that Takaki is probably living very slowly. It's not a dumb question. I think it's the question that the entire anime is based around.

If they live at the speed of light, which is almost 300 000 km/sec (I don't remember the exactly number), they could see each other everyday

Okay, that was a joke, but to be honest, how on Earth can this question be answer? There's no way for me answer it when I don't even know what the speed is based on.

Calculating this kind of speed is a lot more difficult than to calculate the speed of light. For most kind of speed, we have the formula "Speed = Distance/Time", but even that formula doesn't work on this

Hahaha, way to be a literalist. I expected a more romantic answer from you. I understand your point though. It's impossible to know right? You just go at whatever speed you can (if you ever figure out what that means) and hope you end up somewhere you can be happy. I personally don't want to live slowly, but who knows. Maybe the pace of life should be slow. I'm not sure which is more enjoyable, or beneficial.

i don't think it's literally the 'speed' it's about in there.. it's like,'how fast should i live my life, for me to reach the 'tomorrow' wherein you're a part of it again..'
i know they sound almost the same^^ but well, i'm not really that good in expressing my thoughts..lol

I don't think the anime was about speed itself. I believe it was mostly talking about how far one should go to be with the person they love or should they just let it go and move on to find someone else...well thats what I think.

Love that tagline.

"Dore hodo hayasa de ikireba...kimi ni mata kaeru no ka?"

I think it means how far one should go to be with their loved one...if the person is somewhere far away...
