I like to have hard copies too, but since I won't stay too long in a place... carrying books with me is impossible ._.

Yes, because of three reasons.

1. You can zoom a pdf.
2. Amazon will come up with a subscription service.
3. I will be able to see them sooner.

Something to add to this thread.

Just had a crazy idea. What if there was manga in semi-gif format?

http://www.mangahere.com/manga/berserk/c078/3.html

For example, go to that page and imagine the frame with Wyald, the Black Dog Knight leader, in gif format with his evil aura pulsating. I don't figure this concept should be used with each frame, but it could be implemented to add an extra level of next gen detail without losing the integrity of the artwork. Simply used to express subtle details. I'd loooooove that.

Anywho, having this style transferred to a E-book (like) tablet would be hella awesome for digital viewing.

Now that said, I still probably use my tablet just as much, if not slightly more, than reading from my physical copies. But it just doesn't replace the feel, weight, and everything else I love about owning physical books/manga. But the digital has some pluses as well, like the great amount of storage, generally a couple dollars cheaper, and don't have to worry about shipping as much if at all (given I already don't because I only get physical copies from B&N and members get free shipping).

Out of curiosity, have any of the books you've ordered from B&N arrived damaged? It seems I have bad luck with B&N because a lot of the books I order arrive damaged in some way.

I haven't had any no, but I also have only ordered... I think 3 volumes to be shipped to my house. The rest I either picked up in the store because I ordered it while in the store (so my store automatically ships it to the store itself rather than someones house if done that way), or bought when I was in the store browsing, which easily makes up about 4/5 of what I have.
