I'm going to speak for myself and assume some of the other posters agree with me, but it's NOT an issue of it being a remake. They have 3 different Hana Yori Dango dramas, and most people were excited about them. It's the fact that Filipino dramas have a tendency to overact- it's a particular style of acting that is very different and off putting to some viewers. I remember being particularly disappointed in the Filipino remake of My Girl.

It's not against Filipino people. I have friends from the Philippines online, and am no way biased against the country or its people. Refer to the poster a few above you, LoveShockerMei, who said she was Filipino and not a big fan of most of her country's shows.

I'm willing to give it a chance. I think some people are just... worried. It's a favorite drama of a lot of people.

Thanks for the post, it's just that i also like FTLY story-it's quite good, entertaining and humorous, and
as I can see it, we can do justice to the storyline. . .
there are so many drama/story that's extraordinarily good but only fhe popular one is being remake
not only in the PHILIPPINES but as well as in other countries as far as United States...
yes! we're not really awesome but we can give justice and have been recognize in the industries
and in International competion.

I really like FTLY too, (my favorite Taiwanese drama!) and that's why I'll at least give it a fair chance when it airs in the Philippines. They are definitely capable of doing a good adaptation, so I hope it turns out well
