Ooh yeah! Tadase's name quite suits him. But Kiseki, miracle? I guess it was a miracle for him to be born, lol.

Hotori Tadase = (Tadase)to correct, to adjust, to reform [actual word is 'Tadasu'], (Hotori)nearby
Like a king. Hotori? Yeah I do feel sometimes he's just nearby, lol. Yeah, yeah. I'm such a fangal, but who cares?

Miki's meaning is precious. TwT

Hotori also means alone I think, which doesn't make sense. And I think they chose the name "miracle" because in the manga Tadase said himself "You're my miracle, Kiseki" or something like that.

Yeah, I think it was chapter 22 where Tada-san said that' I'm not sure.

Well, I looked up Amu's last name and I found that Hina means sunshine or greens in Japanese and Mori means my educator, my guide in Hebrew. So Hinamori could mean something like "my guide to sunshine."

Ami means trustworthy, reliable in Hebrew. In Englsih, Ami is a variant of Amy which means beloved.

Nadeshiko aslo means fringed pink carnation in Japanese. Fujisaki can be broken down into 3 different words: Fu is Chinese for wealthy or lotus; Ji is Korean for wisdom; and Saki is Japanes for blossom or hope. So Fujisaki can be translates as "wisdom of the lotus blossom" which fits this character really well.

Kukai is a candlenut tree, Aleurites moluccana, of the spurge family, having grayish leaves and clusters of small white flowers: the state tree of Hawaii (http://dictionary.infoplease.com/kukui). I couldn't find what Ku means but Kai means sea in Hawaiian and is the diminutive of Gerhard which means brave or hardy and Nicholas which means victory of the people. So Kukai could mean "victor of the brave sea." Soma is split into 2 different words: So - dirritive of Sho which means soar or fly in Japanses; Ma - real, true or dance. So Soma could mean "real soaring" or "soaring/flying dance." I think this matches real with Kukai as he soars in the sky.

Yaya's last name Yuiki can be derived from Yuiko which is Japanese for thoughtful child. It could also be translated into 2 words: Yu - which is Chinese for jade; happy, pleased; or rain; Iki - dimunitive of Ike which is Hebrew for he laughs. So Yuiki could mean something like "happy laughter."

Rima is Arabic for white antelope. Rima can be divided into 2 words: Ri - Jasmine in Japanese; Ma - real or true in Japanese. So Rima can also mean "true Jasmine." Mashiro can be divided into 3 words: Ma - real or true in Japanese; Shi - Chinese for time, real, honest, or history; and Ro which is dirrivitiv of Ryo in Japanese which means cool, refreshing, distant, or reality. So Mashiro could mean "true distant history" or "real refreshing honesty."

Kairi also means ocean village in Japanese.

Ran can also is the past tense of the Englsih verb run (which I think matches her very well because she like to be active).

Su is Chinese for plain or respectful.

Pepe, Yaya's guardian character, means he will enlarge or he will add. I'm sure this means that even though Yaya wants to stay as a baby she still has to get older.

This is random but does anyone know why Utau has a different last name then Ikuto because aren't they supposed to be brother and sisiter?

I always thought they named Amu "Amu" because it's an abbreviation of Amulet--thus "Amulet Heart" "Amulet Spade" "Amulet Clover" "Amulet Dia" and "Amulet Fortune"

The first 3 letters of Amulet are indeed Amu's name so....I just thought that WAS NOT a coincidence...

Actually, Temari means fan. At least I think so.
And Kukai means Empty Sea because in Chinese it does mean that.
And... Kiseki means miracle for some reason.
What does Ikuto mean, anyway??
