So you're not concerned at all from what this flu arose? Contrarily to the bird flu..the swine flu gets also transmitted from human to human which pretty much should double your concern since it suffices that you meet the wrong person and not the wrong pig...which seriously increases the chances since the probability that you'll meet an infected pig are lower than you meeting an infected person. =*(

And contrarily to swine influenza there's a cure for poverty; money. But there's no real cure for viral infections. And the virus develops. The vaccine of yesterday won't work for the swine influenza of today...basically, that's evolution for you.

You can't just inject someone with money.

There is no solution to poverty, if there was, there would be no such thing as poverty.

There was something about this on the news this morning - the government is banning all flights from the UK to Mexico now, as it has already spread to a couple in Scotland that just visited there, and since they returned, they've spread it to seven other people |:.

I find the prospect of it absolutely terrifying to be quite honest.

And I wanted to eat some pork sinigang too and bacon. Crap. If I smother my pork in amantadine or oseltamivir, will it taste the same, hm?

looks like you're outta luck - this one is fully resistant to adamantanes. Tamiflu...maybe it'll help, but if you cook it with the pork I'm pretty sure it does nothing

but on a lighter note, it looks like the virology lab i work in is gonna get funding realllll soon

Oooh, funding kudos to swine flu, I presume. ;D

Merci Monsieur Swine Flu fo ze funding.

People are making a big deal of it at school each time someone coughs, sneezes, or even shows a sign of the common cold people start avoiding them like the plague and smother germex all over themselves. It's annoying.

My area is most likely to have people with swine flu since we are close to the border to Mexico. If you take care of yourself and take precautions you are less at risk, and if you go to the doctor once you show signs of a fever you should be okay.

But to those who haven't and have died from the virus I express my condolences. To all those annoying preteens scared of death fucking get a grip, you are young with healthy immune systems just take care of yourselves and don't do touching anything or anyone.
