Air Gear seems to be getting a lot of love on this thread. And for good reasons indeed. It is a VERY well drawn manga, and Oh!Great is a highly skilled artist.
However, I feel like Genshiken isn't getting enough lurve. Kio Shimoku is definetly a very skilled artist as well, and criminally underrated. Oh, and it's one of the best "Slice of Life/Comedy" mangas of all time. Go read it! |

Naoko Takeuchi - Bishoujo Senshi Sailormoon.
The art is timeless and has aged very well. It's a cross between Art Nouveau and Japanese Wood-block style, and has a softness that isn't seen very much in Shoujo Manga these days. The proportions are not at all realistic, but it's done in such an excellent way that it's very stylized. (this is a really bad translation, but it comes from Sailormoon R) Also, anything by Narumi Kakinouchi (Her stuff didn't age as well as Takeuchi's Sailormoon, though) Also, Yuu Watase - |

I don't know that I have enough knowledge of them to say what ones are best drawn, but here are some of my favorites:
Toradora! - the mangaka really got the characters of Ryuuji and Taiga! Ryuuji has a menacing, but extremely cool look and Taiga is just radiant, when she isn't in full tsun mode... A Bride's Story - this one is seriously on my wish list! It is gorgeous! Otome Youkai Zakuro - Lily Hoshino's art is wonderful! Part of the reason I love Mawaru Penguindrum so much... Bakuman - There are a lot of things I would forgive about the art in a series that has this image in it! But there isn't much to forgive in Bakuman, it is very well done! And my all time favorite: Oh My Goddess! - Fujishima-sensei's work is fantastic! Especially the recent chapters: Spoiler Alert! Click to show or hide |

Here are some of the best drawn mangas that I can think of: -Shugo Chara -Beauty Pop -La Corda d'oro -Case Closed -Skip Beat -Pichi Pichi Pitch -Kirarin Revolution There are more, but that's all I can think of right now. shugo Chara isn't THAT well drawn. It's neutral. |

Well... my list would be a mix of manhwas and mangas. Like some others, Bride of the Water God was the first one to come to mind. It's just gorgeous! Followed by--well, I guess one could call it a "oneshot"--The History of the West Wing. Then there's Banya. Next would be Butterflies, Flowers; the facial expressions are priceless! And last, Nura. Wish I had some pics to put with this...

In my opinion:
Berserk Miura puts a lot of detail into every page and the artwork is incredible. JoJo's Bizarre Adventure The art is very unique and detailed. Starting with Part 7 it starts to use a pseudo-realistic style. Anything by Takeshi Obata or Oh!Great is good as well. Black Butler manages to be detailed yet neat at the same time. Bleach was good until the author stopped drawing backgrounds. One Piece and Fairy Tail look good for Shonen manga, but I prefer OP. Though I haven't read much of it, D.Gray Man has some elaborate pieces of art. Has anyone listed Yasuda Suzuhito's works yet? The way he draws his characters look very cool to me. |
