Hmmmmm.... I think mine would be...
-Berserk -Neon Genesis Evangelion (Manga) -Bakuman -Death Note (Yeah, I know, what a generic mainstream thing to say, but you have to admit that the drawings are just beautiful) -Onani Master Kurosawa (Lolz. This one is definitely debatable) |

berserk - best art in a manga...EVER!
vagabond - almost as good artwork as berserk flcl hellsing death note/bakuman (these two are tied) |

I'd have to say that I agree with Skip Beat, Black Bird, and Vampire Knight.
One I haven't seen mentioned yet is Immortal Rain(sometimes referred to as Meteor Methusela). Beautiful artwork and a really nice story, even if it's not the most original thing out there. It was just completed a few months ago, so if you get a chance and want to be able to finish something fairly quickly, you may want to check it out. |

I don't read much manga nowadays, so I don't think I can list five, but if I had to pick just one, I'm gonna have to go with Fairy Tail. The one thing more phenomenal than the level of detail Hiro Mashima can put in his drawings is how fast he does it. I mean, just look at him go! Sure, it's just a portrait and more rough than anything, but when you can draw your own characters so perfectly consistent without needing to frame them first, that's nothing short of talent right there.

I personally dislike CLAMP's drawing style because they exaggerate and stretch the human body way too much to my liking. As for some mangakas... not a fan of the eyes taking up 3/4 of the face with huge dilated pupils that makes adolescent males have an addiction to eyedrops.
Tite Kubo, however, impressed me in terms of the before and after comparison from the more generic style to a distinctive one (that I admire), though not a fan of the way the story's turning out... |
