To the people who think that you can't clean manga:

Anyone here read manga that has been translated? Well, you guys do know that when you scan something, it turns out looking terrible on the computer. Basically if you scan a manga page to save on the comp it turns out like this:
After the people who clean it finish, it turns out like this:

Pretty impressive huh?

Thanks to killar for helping me

GIMP sucks (not like I know how to use it though) and torrent Photoshop (Again I don't know how to use; I'm very technology challenged despite me being Asian)

It's easy, I may post a how-to later. The thing is, it takes a while. It's not something you click a few times and your done. You should expect to spend about an hour per page to get good results.

No, I know that much already. I know it'll take time and practice. But I want to learn how. Your help would be greatly appreciated.

This is the first time ever I saw, that a mod isn't locking a personal thread, instead of that, you're helping her, which means, you're pretty cool o.o

How do you know GIMP sucks if you don't know how to use it?

I use it all the time for designing websites and photo editing, it's great. I use photoshop as well but I prefer GIMP. Don't listen to all the people out there who hate on GIMP just because they don't know how to use it or learned everything they know on photoshop so they don't want to try something different.

That's just as bad as people saying Linux/Mac/PS3/etc sucks just because they never gave it a chance.

I think the scanlators just get quality photos instead of cleaning them.

Actually they don't. Like I put in the example, they have to clean them in order to make them clearer.
