I've seen the first episode, and for a first episode, I have to say that I really enjoyed it, and was impressed enough to want more. All the characters are the very definition of 'moe', especially Yui who is a moe-blob in all its glory. There were some times when I thought that the animation was a bit meh, I'm sure you've noticed that too, but all in all, it was pretty solid and the character designs are top notch, my favorite being Mio of course, the reason for my love may be that her appearance reminds me of Yomi from Ga-Rei Zero, I can't actually call her "tsundere" cuz... well, she's kinda different... a unique attitude... being shy and at the same time being strict? That may be tsundere but in her case its different.. unlike Taiga from Toradora, Shana from Shakugan no Shana, Nagi from Hayate no Gotoku! or even Kagami from Lucky Star... Also, I love all the expressions that are made throughout and as expected of KyoAni, they didn't leave me bored or sighing even once, of course, that could be from Ritsu's comedic eccentricities.

The final hook that got me interested was of course the music. The OP song is upbeat and fun, but not really my thing so I didn't enjoy it as much as I would have liked. The ED "Don't Say 'Lazy'" Is another story entirely, the combination of awesome rock and the amazing vocals made me instantly fall in love, I've already looped it for what seems like the millionth time.

Again, for a first episode, KyoAni couldn't have done a better job roping me in and I'm glad that I decided to watch this in addition to the many other shows that I will be watching this season.

Can't wait for the 5th episode. Hope we get some more wonderful moe action from Mio as well ^^ Looking forward to my next experience with K-ON!

My first impression of K-On! is that it's a very nice comedy anime added with music and 'moe-ness' in it. (Moe~Moe~Kyun~!) Makes me remember the time I first watched CLANNAD, another anime by KyoAni.

Right now, I can't wait till Episode 10's out and surely, this will turn out to be one of the best animes this season--no, scrap that-- one of the best animes this year!!! Go K-ON!~!!!

P.S.: KyoAni is really a company that can pull of any anime of the comedy genre!

my first impression on K-ON! wasn't something i was looking forward at first but when i watched the first episode, i was amazed. I never knew the anime had to do anything about music and stuff since i don't read summaries on anime. The opening of the show was really cheery and something u can dance to, kinda. but not really the type of music i would listen to. The ending of the song was very creative and the vocals matched really well with the song too.

if there was a vote whether or not there should be a second season, i will definitely vote for a second season!
