No, of course I don't like sexist attitudes, but the best way to stop them is not to rant.

Instead of ranting about sexism and "glass-ceilings" and such, women could argue much more effectively by actually breaking the boundaries themselves.

For example, if you believe girls can do anything guys can athletically, why not prove it instead of just making a thread on crunchy?

I'm not trying to be rude or offensive, I just see a constant pattern of this all the time, where women (and other groups) rant about equality, but don't take any action to prove themselves otherwise.

Legally, we have equality. Socially, we're getting there. The groundwork is already set. And guess what? So many women are still content being housewives and end up marrying these very men that make sexist comments.

The bottom line is, if you want your point to be proven to these men, you need to make sure you can stand your ground before you argue.

Ignore them?

If someone's sexist then I doubt you'll magically turn their attitude upside down by being passive aggressive.

Not all the time, no.

I love telling jokes about how stupid women and feminists are. And I'm female.
Hence why I have damn loyal fan-boys.
Sometimes they take it too far - like the treating us like meat stuff - that's not so much sexist as it is perverted.

And sexism can be good as well. People claim chivalry is sexist - but it's good.

Guys just tend to be bigger, stronger, and more logical than women. Hence why women put them down when they act stupid.
Guys may act like fools, but if you keep in mind it's an act then it won't hurt as much.
It's worked for me. I don't feel bad when guys put down women... Most times they are right.

But in reality, each gender as a whole has its good and bad aspects.

I'm not loyal to my own gender because I don't believe in being that mean to men. From what I have gathered, men are not all that into "the battle of the sexes" like women are. They don't need to really. I admire that~

On a more personal note... I like it when guys take change and authority and make me wanna obey.
I can be headstrong and dominate - so if a guy can get me to obey then I enjoy doing what he requests of me - so long as it's within respect to the fact I'm not a plaything for Nookie.

I'd love it if I could be a housewife as well~ I'd love it if a man had enough stones to boss around a female this day in age~
Like "get me a drink, have dinner ready when I get home, take care of the house and kids, and be a great wife and mother".
I love it so much~~ I hate how so many women wanna work today... No one knows how good we used to have it either.
Being a housewife is a job after all~ *goes to live in her housewife fantasy*

IMO girls can do anything guys can do, just in different ways. I prefer a woman who can sit in a kitchen and make me a sammich when asked. jk jk. But I think honestly, girls and guys are completely different species. There's been studies on these type of things. I've heard of this test where they give the females / males the same problem and see how the fix it or come the the conclusion. Every time they did it, the female did it differently than the man, but still solved it. Your "sexist" male companions are either big headed douche bags, immature 13 year olds, or complete dicks.

I agree with some of you that girls tend to suck at things that men do more often, and that's because most girls just aren't that into those things. If you work hard at it, doesn't matter which gender you are!

and I think most people tend to think men are the sexist ones because of society?
I mean, even now, men are seen as the more dominant sex.
due to that kind of thinking, of course most people would assume men are the sexist ones!
Girls can be sexist too, but usually aren't viewed as being sexist since males already have the default advantage of being the dominant one.

anyway, this is getting too long.
one last thing. I do see more derogatory statements from males, rather than females =P
Maybe that's another reason? even if some of those can be jokes, just remember there are some real feminists lurking...

So many women are still content being housewives and end up marrying these very men that make sexist comments.
Actually it's the opposite. More women hate men today than ever before, excluding the 60s.

And what's wrong with being a housewife?

Tomorrow I will make my case about certain things on this - for now I must sleep.
So until then... Good night!

However, there is only one thing women can almost always out-due men in.
Long Distance Running - like in the Olympics.
Why? The one thing women have more of than men is the one thing most of us hate... Body fat!
It gives us more energy.

Also. Men and women have way different bone structures - especially in the pelvis area - women cannot jump as high at men because of it but also men tend to not be as naturally flexible as women.
Like in Gymnastics... he men tend to focus more on strength and women focus more on balance.

A woman's pelvis is designed to hold a child, sorry we are built that girls. And also out organs are able to move up in order to make room for said child.
Women tend to think with emotions unlike men who think with logic.

If you put the best man in a sport up against the best woman in the same sport, the man will win - with one exception.
Women, also tend to be gold-diggers as well. Men just like girls who are hot. They did a study. Women tend to find a man with the better car more attractive - same guy in each photo, different cars.
Same test done on men, it never changed because they didn't wanna take their eyes off someone good looking.

On another note, ovulation. When women go through it they desire to mate with the "stud" of the men. When not ovulating they prefer the more girly looking guy who's more friend-like.

If you put a male and female of the same age (like 3 or 4) - the girl will play with the doll and the boy will play with the truck.
Every test ever done on it proved this to be true.

Men and women are different. We both have good points and bad points. If you are a manly woman then you probably fail at the things most women are more inclined to. Same for a guy.

Really, it comes down more to the Testosterone/Estrogen balance in you.

I still have more, so NOW good night!
