Funny thing is emo's are more socially accepted than religious people

What Bizarro world of a paradise do you live in?
I need to be there.

Sweden :/
It had a big emo period where zillions tried the stuff from 2003-2007. After that the hating got all dragged out and people stoped since it wasn't anything special anymore, same goes for the reason why some people stopped being emo; so now its socially accepted (of course there still hate left).

The hate towards religion is mostly from fellow peers in my age (since we study alot of evolution of course atheism gets common) its not that varied. People in sweden are really occupied socially and are quite indulged in materialism so they don't believe they need a religion ( this is just my opinion in why it migth be so), of course this is a fad that was way worse 1 year ago were athiest basically tried to convert you and has started to disperse.

Emos think they have it bad, which in return, makes them "cool". If they really want their life to suck, then they should live in Ethiopia or Afghanistan.

What would've people done 50 years ago if they knew that their music would, some way done the very long line, produce this piece of shit. It's like we've lost all meaning of the word "music".

Why is it that people are too afraid of reality, so they turn to the only popular fasion avalable from the media that allows them an escape and makes them socially acceptable to the T.V. and there little ignorant buddies who think that talking about death and all things grim and depressing is somehow poetic...unless off course you sream your tits of down a microphone.
Oh please, you people need to get a fucking grip and stop thinking that your individual, becasue guess what, you're really not. Otherwise I wouldn't generalise like this. Being a goth is one thing but when you people start to trash actual music, thats when it gets out of hand.
Now, to all the little emo people around the world. You gotta ask yourself, did you honestly become "emo" because being "emo" is the essence of your being and somehow it was just meant to be? Or did you see "My chemical romance" killing "desolation row" on T'V' one day and decide that "Hey I wanna do that"? Or was it because all your friends were becoming "individual" and you juuuust wanted them to accept you? Or were you really the first of your kind (pssst, I don't think so)? Would you be emo 30 years ago?

pheeeew boy, you know its good to have a rant sometimes!
AHAHA emos are funny, they could be so much more than they are, but they don't realise it because they focus too much on the present and their stupid little fasion trends. (And that btw doesn'y apply to just emos).
Cool people are cool, emos are not cool, cold people are cool, emos are not cool, walking lamp shades are cool, emos are not cool.

I like the fashion with Emo... and I follow it a little too intently (takes me longer than a girl to get dressed and ready :P)

A-symmetrical Fringe, Skinny Jeans... quite feminine clothing...

I personally think it looks very cool, and I don't really care what other people think....

Those little "wannabes", just let them do what they want... what difference does it make to you if their having fun? Just leave them be and let them do their own thing, as you are doing your own thing.

That right there is an emo wannabe! True "emos" don't have to answer to a thread like this.
And by the way, Liking the fasion and wearing clothes that represent the emo nation would label you as an emo wether it be "real" or not.
Those "wannabes" are more emo then you Lukeaxx uhuh. They are the true emos because they submit themselves to tight jeans and unaturally black hair, becasue that is what an "emo" is and if you think that you're "like" one of them, then you my friend, are a wannabe.
I'll tell you what pisses me of more than an emo, is a chav...don't get me started....

real emo people are annoying. they never smile, and they whine, bitch, and complain too much. "oh my life is so terrible" and this and that. honestly i don't give a shit. your life is nowhere near as bad as those living in countries like north korea, ethopia, sudan, etc so stop whining like a baby and man up.

i mostly have no problem with people who take on emo fashion, aka the posers. the tight pants on guys are what bugs me. how the hell can you stand wearing that? don't your balls hurt? how can you walk, let alone run in those things?

Define "Emo" for me, pl0x. I want to see if we share the same term [definition] of it

I've yet to see someone give me a proper definition of what emo is and what it's about. I'm slightly misleaded by all those wannabe bisexual c*nts who fap to dracula porn in their dark emo teary corner whilst slashing their wrists to one huge pile of shitty scars.

I don't know, I'm a very stereotypical person with out of the US people, because I've NEVER EVER been out of the country. Rofls, I never knew that people from out of the country had style... =D I'm so mean, forgive me. I just haven't been out of the country before.

An emo is someone who makes a specific brand of hardcore punk.
They are a type of punk. They are two branched down in the punch culture. A subculture of a subculture of punk.

And for this "true" emo. It is not influenced by tight jeans and dyed black hair and other such(not that there's anything wrong with that), but Mod Subculture clothing.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mod_(lifestyle)
This is REAL emo clothing.
