It looks weird just picturing a 11 year old reading manga

everything has its target audience.
shounen and shoujo mangas are targeted to young boys/girls

Of course, it can be for all ages!! As long as you enjoy reading manga, why not...

But i guess just make sure that what you're reading is somewhat appropriate for your age....
like if we're talking about a 9 y/o kid thats reading adult manga... then thats something else.

I'm reading manga even though I'm 11. What's wrong with it? It's a comic after all.
Though, Some mangas aren't suitable for younger people since it may contain some adult content.

Why not?
There is obviously some manga that isn't too appropriate for very young readers, but manga in general isn't restricted to any age group.

I don't think that kids should read any mangas. I think that 19 isnt old at all. I got 2 friends who are 22 and 20 that reads manga. Im 18 so who cares if people think that we are "too old" thats a bunch of crap.

But it also depends on the series. I started reading manga at the age of nine (early bloomer), but the only one I read back then was Sailor Moon, then Dragon Ball. They were ok for me back then. There are lots of manga that young kids can read, like Cowa!, Ultra Maniac, Sugar Princess, and Shugo Chara. My little sister is five, and she loves Cowa!

These days I read more mature series, like Nana (an 18+ for explicit sex, drugs and strong language), and my monthly Shojo Beat issues (most series are 16+).
