I'm reading manga even though I'm 11. What's wrong with it? It's a comic after all.
Though, Some mangas aren't suitable for younger people since it may contain some adult content.

There's nothing wrong with you reading manga at 11; I started reading them at 9.

Only people that r in they're late teens like me and u and young adults can read em'
It looks weird just picturing a 11 year old reading manga

yeah really. Thats what I think 2.

But it also depends on the series. I started reading manga at the age of nine (early bloomer), but the only one I read back then was Sailor Moon, then Dragon Ball. They were ok for me back then. There are lots of manga that young kids can read, like Cowa!, Ultra Maniac, Sugar Princess, and Shugo Chara. My little sister is five, and she loves Cowa!

These days I read more mature series, like Nana (an 18+ for explicit sex, drugs and strong language), and my monthly Shojo Beat issues (most series are 16+).

Yeah I read/watched Sailor Moon when I was young. Some people can handle it but I just dont think most of it is approriate for younger readers.

There is no age limit. I'm about to be 23 and I love manga. Granted, you won't catch me reading like Zodiac PI or that Shugo Chara becasue it's for preteens, but there's manga for every age. ^_^ It's like reading a book, except it happens to be drawn. It's just a detail of the story.

Think Doujinshi and you'll find your answer.

lol not to be rude but i couldnt imagine read manga at age 32 (at all) . I probly have too many things to worries about at that age... future__husband/kids/works/money etc.
even if **ur single at that age ... wat type of manga would interest u ?! hentai ??

i mean when i was little, i lik Sailor Moon/ Dragon Ball etc. then as i grow up i think those childish and more interest in love/tragedy/comedy then more mature stuffs as age goes by but wouldnt anyone lose interest in those stuff after year and years

You're not being rude... It's one of my many fun hobbies that keeps me happy in life. There is a time and place for everything, you'll learn the balancing act as you get older. Going through life worrying about every little thing is no way to live. All work and no play makes sectionsix a dull boy.

Different manga are made to appeal to different ages, just like any book, tv, movie or music.

age doesnt matter.

i think that some mangas are for all ages, like there is no age for mangas(UNLESS IT CLEARLY STATES ON THE BACK THAT THE MANGA IS FOR CERTAIN AGE) but if you are 18 and up and still reading manga that's really cool. =)

I personally think they are made for any age to enjoy, but mangas are usually made for a specific age group, that's why they always have a protagonist or heroine around certain ages, so as long as you people beyond your prime years aren't reading things like Katekyo Hitman or Hayate no Gotoku it's fine, but you'll always find the younger teens or preteens reading 18+ mangas or doujinshis, though not me (I lock my door first) .
