If you were to ask me, I doubt you really care to know what makes yaoi fans tick, since you went out of your way to be crude while you supposedly "...honestly want answers...". What's up with that?

One reason I like yaoi is that the parings usually have to explore what gender identity is a imposed from the Outer World of society, work, & family and how it has been absorbed and processed into each person's Internal World. All this while engaged in the magical reality of falling in love in a world where gay pairings are repressed and denied.
Women often feel repressed and denied in sexist and misogynistic cultures. Read EVERY culture. Thus, I think women can more easily relate to the trials faced by yaoi partnerships without feeling an inherant cultural threat that het-males (and even gay males) must experience because of the roles males have been brain washed into thinking are The Way IT Is Supposed To Be If You Are A Real Man.

The heterosexual world has been dominated by male thought and culture for thousands of years. This is very odd when you think that half the partnership is female. Perhaps het-women who like yaoi savor the process of males coming to terms with female gender characteristics. Perhaps they can more easily explore their own sexual feelings about male and female gender when both participants are male and therefore sexually empowered to a degree that women's sexual natures are not empowered in society.
Some women may enjoy seeing male submission. Some may be exploring how they feel about the assumption of butch male dominance or if they want to dominate or be dominated.
Like most things, there are as many possible whys as there are people asking. Of course, as you so elegantly put it, some of us just get off on seeing men fuck each other in the ass. Possible because they so richly deserve it?
