Well, i am just guessing that Luffy and Ace have the same mother but diffrent father. Ace s' father is the pirate king and Luffy's father is Dragon. i think it makes sence

Ace's Mother died after giving birth to him, so it's impossible for her to be Luffy's mother.

So how can they be brothers???

They're not brothers at all, in the actual sense of the word. They might have been raised thinking they were actually related, who knows.

Nahh i will think that it will grim situation and all the strawhats will show on time for the big show down. So far oda have never left a story out but luffy's it self story wich we know bits and parts. My guess is that dragon started the war with the world because they killed his brother Gold D. Roger. About this last issue interesting that only ace son of Gold ? Hmm i will say someone change the brothers or all is a complete mess.

I think the marines got the son wrong Im betting is Luffy and that Garp send Luffy to chase his uncle Dragon to learn the truth of his origins. Also i bet that the whole war of Dragon is revenge for the dead of his brother Gold D. Roger. Lets put it this way Monkey D. Luffy Gold D Roger Monkey D Dragon. Aslo the D which i think stands for the will of the Dreams is on their name. As far we know luffy is also following the same path that Roger follow 20 years before according to the sky island. (Besides ) we dons know if that mother had twins since Ace and Luffy look themselves as brothers ?
