Just because these animals are treated as domestic pets and you have daily interaction with them, you're horrified by cruelty done to them.

well ofc. People feel closer to such animals.
Or maybe they just think of other animals more as food.

But still, abusing a deer is pretty much the same as abusing a cat. Maybe more difficult though

Because you feel closer to the animal, you're offended by what the boy did because you care for the animal, because you have a relationship with it. But does it harm anyone? That means its personal, but the law isn't personal. If you're talking about treating animals in another manner for food, then what's the difference between killing it and torturing it? Is killing more acceptable than torturing?
Your personal feelings are for yours to deal with, they should not affect others.

These are my thoughts, I'm not forcing them down anybody's throat. If you feel offended, well I don't give a damn.

This question you can answer yourself. Would you want to get tortured to death, or do you prefer to have a quick death? I don't know, I personally wouldn't want to get tortured to death but that might just be me maybe you're into that kind of s&m sh*t.

Plus there are so many various reasons why we kill animals, one for instance is because we need the food. Some kill for joy and pleasure and some kill because they must.

And to say the least, just because after you animals have no right doesn't mean that we as humans have the right to shun life like that, or now do we? Don't do to others what you wouldn't want them to do to you.

Oh and by the by, humans are animals, too, therefore you're indirectly saying that we should have no rights either.

Like I said, its personal. Although I wouldn't want to be tortured, but yet I can't seem to sympathise an animal. Why? Because I personally feel that they're inferior to me .Indeed we're animals, but we're intellectual, we know how to defend ourselves by discussions and also through negotiations. Animals however in most case counter with physical attacks which 'might' be considered as barbaric methods. Which is why we have rights and animals don't in certain countries because we ask for these rights ( human rights etc).

There are animal rights because we humans can't stand to see them in pain and so they have them. I personally don't want to be at the same level as something that can't defend itself. You may say that the cat didn't ask to be abused, but then did it ask to have rights? Or is it us human beings that just can't bare the pain of watching them suffer. Its not what the cat wanted, its us who wants it.

Take Buddhism for an example, Buddhist are supposed to be vegetarians yet there are those that still have meat except for beef.
I'm focusing on the latter right now. According to my friend who's a Buddhist, the reason why this certain groups of Buddhist don't take beef, is because they feel that it is cruel to kill a cow after it worked so hard to provide them with milk. But what about chicken? They give us eggs and killed the population with cholesterol.

Its all for our selfish reasons, its all personal. In fact almost everything is personal. These are my points, I'm not forcing it down anybody's throat.

As someone whom I admire and still admire once said something like this:
'There's no right way, there's no wrong way , there's no only way, there's only my way and your way.'

um am i the only person finding the video hilarious? boys will be boys i remember all the stupid shit ive done as a kid. the guy was just having fun besides why should he be punished for play punching a stupid cat? i have no feeling toward the cat seriousely call me cold but the law is cold too. if i were the judge id give him a suggestion (not even a warning) to not post stupid shit online to offend people because thats just asking for it..... id let him go.

Everyone who complains about animal cruelty should see slaughter house footage and believe it or not pigs are actually a little bit smarter than a dog. and they are killed for your enjoyment which has nothing wrong but being a hippocrite with pig meat in your mouth yelling animal abuse piss me off a lot. just chew your meat quietly and enjoy the silence seriousely.

Oh, heard of him. Srsly. He sounds like an attention whore. What happened to him after that?

Anyways, my opinion regarding all the animal cruelty BS, well, I'd guess that's a step bit too far. Abusing your cat then whoring the video out in Youtube isn't very amusing really, in my opinion. Those videos of people murdering some animal for the lulz doesn't humor me for some reason 'swell. Hey, I eat meat too, and I don't feel guilty, to be honest. Just irritates me when people get a kick out of seeing some guy beat the shit out of an animal. But, no matter the ranting and the cheesy speech-making and useless debates about this, nothing's really changed, right?
