Shinji Had no say over who was eligible. It isn't crunchyroll's survey, just one of their sponsors that decided to hold a contest for crunchyroll.

I looked at it though I'm not-US-citizen and hope the survey-results will turn out good, so crunchyroll will be able to get some good advertisement on here and earn some nice money to help pay for showing videos in Europe ;D
