for drama :

bud brothers =based on pocketbooks
-comedy romance
-very short [ 2 weeks for each book ]
-composed of 8 books with diffrent love story
- there is no subplot =story only focus on 2 ppl
-it reminds me of asian dramas btw

you can watch i on youtube of TeamBudBrothers

movies:

my big love
a very special love
one more chance

i like it too! its not lame because the stories were written by best writers from precious hearts romances novels. I totally new it! that someday PHR would be featured in tv. I mean I read them sometimes-years ago actually, and i think it has better stories and plot than those you usually see on Fil tv.

they always have the usual plots...
you know...love triangles, rags-to-riches characters, etc..
i even find those remakes of Asianovelas pretty lame..
maybe that's the reason why some Filipinos love Japanese, Korean, and Taiwanese idol dramas more than what the local industry has...

for me, it really depends if the storyline of a fdrama is very good or have a good plot and not become a drag as the story progresses..

Agree with most people here!

But there are some fdramas out there that really exceed expectation... and is really good...
Not trying to be bias but ABS CBN got some really good ones...

Some currently airing which I find really gud...
Bud Brothers
Only You
Tayong Dalawa

Others...
Kambal Sa Uma
May Bukas Pa

But thats my opinion...
ABS CBN and GMA can please everybody...
But waht their doing is pleasing the masses...
They are creating very heavy dramas because that what the mass love...
We should be proud to have our own drama... and I may say better plot than others...
Have you ever watch Coronation Street from UK, Home and Away from Australia or Shortland Street of New Zealand... OMG! You will love it at the begginning but it gets really boring...

But if you totally given up on FDrama... You are missing out... LOL

Same here. Also include Your song presents: Boystown. Not for discriminating, but for me GMA dramas are boring.
