OK, so I figured it was high time I shared with you all the awesomeness of Luna Online... in a little more detail.

I have seen a lot of threads in the Games Section looking for high quality, free to play games and in my opinion, Luna Online is one of the best.

In addition to it's amazing community, Luna Online has a lot of unique and innovative features that set it apart from other games.

When you first create your character in Luna Online, you'll have the option to choose one of three base job classes: The Fighter, Mage, or Rogue. Fighters excel at soaking up damage but can dish out a beating if they need to. Mages are Luna Online's magical masters, able to harness the elements to defeat their enemies or heal their allies with the power of nature. Rogues are sneaky and selfish, striking from the shadows with daggers or bows, claiming their loot, and disappearing back into the darkness.

At level 20, players will get to put their skills to the test by embarking on their first job change quest, and as they continue to level up, they'll be able to continue to customize their character into a virtual avatar that perfectly matches their play style.

One of the greatest things I have found with Luna is the seemingly endless amount of job changes. With over 40 different unique job classes, and hundreds of skills, no two characters are the same. I have played tons of other MMO's, and I got bored quickly with the limited races and classes available.

In addition to tons of classes, Luna also has tons of non-combat activities from trade skills like construction and deconstruction to vendoring, fishing, and farming.

I mean, there always comes a point in time where we want a break from grinding and completing quests. An important aspect in an MMO to me is being able to stay entertained, even if I need a break from the grind.

Farming in Luna Online gives you a chance to earn powerful items and power-ups that are extremely difficult to earn any other way, and maybe even earn a little gold in the process. If you tend to your crops and keep them properly fertilized, some of the fruits and veggies you grow will contain rare items like upgrade scrolls -- power-ups that allow you to improve your weapons and armor, breathing new life into that old shield or making your latest and greatest bow even more legendary. You can also earn powerful accessories like magical rings and necklaces.

Farming's a family affair in Luna Online, so you'll need to be a member of a 5-person family in order to purchase and tend a farm. Think of families as mini-guilds - a group of 5 close friends that enjoy playing together and don't mind sharing the same last name.

Once you purchase a farm, which requires 2 million gold and a level-50 family head, any member of the family will be able to use the farm to raise their own crops. Farms in Luna Online are a great way to make a small personal fortune for you and your family and to earn a steady supply of rare in-game items. Now seriously. Have you ever seen an MMO where you can get all kinds of nifty items for growing veggies?

Unlike other areas in Luna Online, there's only one instance of the Alker Farm region per server rather than per channel. That means the entire server will be vying for the 60 available farm locations, making farms extremely valuable property and one of Luna Online's most valuable commodities.

And if you still are looking for more recreational activities, Luna Online features.....Fishing!

Fishing in Luna Online is much more than just idly watching your bait bob up and down -- It's fast, dynamic, and fun! And it's the only way to get cool exclusive in-game rewards.

Players will be able start their fishing adventure by visiting Fishercat, Luna Online's resident Fishing Manager. You'll find him near the windmill in the Alker Farm region. He'll sell you your first fishing pole and some cheap bait and set you on your way to becoming an expert fisherman. Or woman.

Fishing locations are scattered throughout the Alker Farm region, and once you find one, fishing's as easy as activating your fishing skill and casting until your bait runs out. With each cast, you'll get to play a fun mini-game that'll put your timing to the test. Hit your left control key at the right time as the gauge slides from right to left to significantly increase your chance of catching a fish.

Your success as a fisherman is reliant on more than just your timing, however. As you fish, your fishing skill will improve, allowing you to hook more interesting catches. The weather will also affect the kinds of fish swimming in the water. For example, fishing on a windy day will increase your chance of catching a specific type of fish while casting your line in a typhoon means you're more likely to catch other items set awash by the storm.

Once you've amassed a bountiful catch, you can return to Fishercat and turn in your fish for fishing points you can exchange for superior fishing poles, bait, and fun fish-themed items and armor.

These are only a few of the awesome features of Luna.... PKing, tons of quests, a pet system... you will never get bored. I know I sure didn't.

Now, more awesome Luna pictures.

My IGN is Snuggles. Please feel free to add me, I always love having new friends to play with.

Sadly, I've promised myself to never touch a Online Game, or else I could try this stuff.

Looks like fun...
I quit MS (maplestory) awhile back because i was too addicted.
I don't know if I should risk getting addicted to another MMO T.T lol
Is it similar to MS, anyone know?
From what I've read there are some similarities, but Luna seems to have more jobs...

......still scared of addiction... it has PVP too! >_<" zzzzz it spells addiction to me lol.
but still, I'd like to know... how fun is it, from 1-10, 1 being the worst. =D

Is the pvp just sitting there and hitting stuff, or is there actual skill involved?

I've almost vowed never to try a F2P MMO again. Mainly because of generic combat systems and limited character creation processes. So go ahead try to sell me on Luna

There is alot of skill requred to be good at PVP in Luna.

There are three modes of PVP.

1) Dueling.

When you come across another character, you have the ability to "throw down the gauntlet". This basically means you can challenge them to a Duel.

Once they accept, a virtual arena is created, so you can't just flee the fight. The first player to kill the other is the winner. You can move anywhere within the arena, and duels are not restricted by level or class. This means a fighter (close range) can duel a rogue Archer (long range) and a lot of strategy is involved in winning.

1. Dueling can take place on any map.
2. There will not be any penalties for losing, or prizes for winning. (Other than the knowledge you are superior).
3. Your HP and MP will not return to full after the PVP ends, you will need to pot or let others heal you.
4. All your buffs except the ones you got from cash shop pots will be gone. (if you lose).

2) PK Mode

Similar to Duel, you have to press "S" to access the skill window and activate PK mode. This can only be done in certain maps, typically maps where mobs are lvl 50 and above. There is a red aura when you are in PK mode, visible to everyone.

Killing someone who is in PK mode will let you get some of their gold, and allow you to select an item from their inventory. Killing a player when you are in PK mode will add 10 minutes more to your PK mode duration.

1. When in PK mode, you are not allowed to change maps, interact with NPCs or any other players.

2. PK mode will last about 20-30min, subject to different server's change.

3. You will lose more EXP when you die in PK mode, and lose even more if you are killed after killing other players.

4. If someone in PK mode tries to kill you, but instead you kill him, there will be no penalty for you, and you will not go into PK mode.

3) Guild War

When you click the war command from guild menu, you will be asked to enter the name of the guild you want to fight. Both guilds must accept the proposal of the war.The war is full scale; the killing spreads throughout the whole map on every channel. In my experience, I've found that it's not so much full scale war as it is stealthy assassination.

After the declaration is complete you can fight any members of those guilds as they were normal mobs.

1) Killing in guild war get 2 guild points.

2)If you are defeated in a guild war, you lose 4 guild points.

3) The war will be continue until both guild propose to stop it, or any side propose to be loser and lose more significant guild points.

4) If you are killed in a guild war, you lose no XP, but you will lose your buffs, just like a regular death.

5) You may propose unlimited killing in one map for 15 minutes per round.

All in all, the PVP systems in Luna are very advanced, and require a lot of skill. However, all of the modes are a blast.

It's retarded that you can only stay in pk mode for 20-30 minutes, is there a cooldown? Why would they do that, i'll stick to WoW.

There isn't a cool down at all. You can go right back into PK mode again as soon as it wears off.

The timer is for the sake of the person activating it, as you become a target for everyone and their mother. (Unless you are badass, and can kill everyone). If you are killed in PK mode, you lose items and gold if you are killed... its amazingly competitive. You also can't log off when you are in PK mode. If you activate it, you better be ready for war.
