Me, well I’m south African and i can say since i live here and have a best friend that is English, that the English do not speak like the Queen, why a friend of mine who lives in the US seemed to think so i have no idea....so what do Americans really think of the English? And if your English what do you think of Americans?

"Queen's speaking" = British accent

British accent =/= American accent

-- I'm American and I find the British accent annoying.

Tho; this thread needs some serious editing ...

The British accent doesn't bother me....
I like it ^_^

I was raised in the southern U.S.A so I'm used to the southern accent....so whenever I hear a british accent I get all giddy cause it sounds cool...

Every region of the USA (even states) speak with a different accent; sometimes you don't realize it until you travel. English is english; there is slang and terminology that are different in each region, but otherwise english is pretty much the same.
