wasnt it better waiting for the anime on TV and ....the exciting to build ......then just watching the next episode right away on the internet....basically .....

I'm not sure about that since I will never know what show should I watch without internet. And, no knowledge means no excitement to build. Basically, I wanted to watch it through internet to avoid bad dubs.

lol...well cant argue with that...

The Internet ruined anime? Are you kidding? WIth internet as a mean to download anime, I can have access, virtually all types of anime ranging from kodomo to hentai.

Fansubbed anime downloaded from the internet > dubbed anime aired in local TV.

I happen to live in a country where there is practically no anime on TV. And when I was a kiddo, there was really nothing. Anime is still hard to get here, and it's extremely constrained to a few series even on DVDs. Subs are burned, and mistakes made in translation are pretty annoying even though I usually just listen what is in reality said...

What would it have been without internet? Sad. Crappy series on telly, picture quality beeing something to get braindamage for with subs that have no right to be called translations (with that amount of misunderstandings of language and typo). Series and movies available would be only that one tiny self in some overpriced market (well, they have gotten prices lately to a understandable level, but still some come with quite a heavy tag...).

So, if you ask me, it's absolutely better for me that anime has become more and more available. Streaming works nicely, as I can watch series I prefer WHEN I have the time to watch them.

...What???
If u mean the difference of watching anime on tv and watching it on the internet then no...I actually thank the internet for letting me watch anime whenever I want^^.

no i meant ...is the excitement still there knowing u could watch it anytime u want....or waiting for it....mostly applies to the dubbs in america or any other country that doesnt have the original anime already out.....

Anime was harder to get, and fewer series on. So you where deffinently more into each and every anime you saw on TV. When you have so much online I guess it's not as great, but it is still very good. What I want to do is get my PC hooked to my 68" TV. But for now sometimes I just use my PS3's java to browse CR or youtube for high quality anime.

The difference between watching anime with endless supply and only moderate quality on your PC, and watching it on TV, is about the same difference between watching TV, and going out to a movie.

I would not have found this anime love if there were no internet. and if I did find it, it would be the neutered, gutted and censored versions with crappy dubbing that we get in the US. Fuck Funimation and the rest of the American distributors.

If anything could ruin anime, it would be the those clowns.
