to be honest I like the internet way more than the dub tv ones
first off for me internet watching is only bad for me if the video is like crazy slow that it only shows pieces of pictures like a slide show.
I was okay with tv until I heard about internet.

I rly don't think internet is ruining anime, it's actually getting more ppl to watch anime and see all the different kinds of animes that are out there since a lot of countries don't show that much.
Personally I also hate watching dubs and on tv you're probably only gonna get to see dubs. On the other hand I don't rly like watching steams since they have poor quality (except on crunchy ofc ;)), but if getting it from other sources it gives ya the option to actually choose a quality to watch it in which is pretty damn awesome to me. Then last but not least, gotta love not having commercials breaks from internet sources.

Yeah. Gee, I sure miss having to stay up until four in the morning to watch anime, and then find out the ones I like aren't on!

I don't miss it. Finding and watching anime was hard and expensive at least here in N. America prior to the rise of the internet. What was broadcast here was extremely limited, you would have been hard pressed to find any anime shows on TV. Things changed with the rise of Videos and DVDs, I first saw Akira when it was released on video, which is what hooked me on the anime style. However, watching and collecting anime on video and DVD is costly.

Watching anime online is much easier now and I don't mind paying for it either.

good topic. fail to agree thanks to reality. perhaps if we had the ideal situation [fansub quality on TV] it would`ve been better than online [thanks to the million anime spoiled for me -_-]

With the exception of sites like Crunchy, then yeah, it ruins it.

The majority of anime on the net breaches copyright and watching said copyrighted matierial is effectively stealing.

Too many good anime companies have gone out of business or are going out of business 'cause so few people are buying their products anymore, and choose to watch them illegally, for free.

It saddens me.

Having a large collection of legal, high-quality anime DVDs is infinately more satisfying than having a folder full of illegal, torrented fansubs...

Well I know the only channel that have anime is Funimation.which I have it on Fios. But I dont watch it as often as on Internet. I watch anime mostly on Internet so it is better. Anime on tv doesn't do much.

The internet made it better for me. Not ever single anime gets dubbed. Only the ones that are watched the most. Besides, when there are animes coming to stores, and I want them, I still go crazy. I love getting anime at stores and offline.

So no, the internet has not ruined it....for me.

I think i understand what u mean. On tv anime is always better, it is because u have to wait for the next ep that will prolly come out in a week, it is like waiting for cristmas gifts. also in the internet i spend like a full day watching a serie without breaks, it is not a good thing :P. But its also true that u can watch any anime u want at any time u want thats a big plus.
