It's not a war, Chinese Taipei and Hong Kong would get slaughtered. Unless of course other countries step in, in the name of "Democracy", then it turns into a world war most likely.

Yes, but at least with a democratic government there's a chance to rise from a lower living standard to a higher one. In China, capatalism is at its highest and the only way you can get anything done is by bribing officials, which the poor and middle class (which is quickly disappearing) cannot afford.

Taiwan has their own government, their own president, their own dialect, they are almost independent, what makes Hong Kong any better?? I am deeply offended by what you said, what did we do that we don't deserve to separate (eventhough it hink Taiwan's separation is unnecessary) show me solid proof that Canto is better than Taiwan.
all these separation proposed in CHina are all pathetic and unnecessary (Tibet, Taiwan, Hong Kong), they just want China to fall apart, every area is different, that doesn't call for separation.
(if that calls for separation, all countries will fall apart)
