Convo so Far :: WITH SPECTATOR COMMENTARY! {{ partially provided by Wolfie-chan via Yahoo }}

Embie-chan types in Red

Angelo-kun types in green

I don't know, I really don't think that vampires have anything to do with being emo.
And maybe the people who you call "wannabe emo" don't really know what being "emo" is. "emo" itself is a very relative term. It can mean many things to different people :/

lol but yeah I was NEVER really excited about the movie for Twilight. I hated it from the beginning because I KNEW the guy who played Edward had no talent in acting =_=
And I agree that Twilight ruined vampires. Completely. I'm all for the traditional kind. The very first kinds of vampires; the ones in the old stories. Not these new ones that sparkle in the sun =_= (though, that Is kinda cool, just NOT for vampires.)

But, all that said, I still like Twilight :3 I just don't even really think of the Cullens as Vampires, but some kinda side-breed :3 I still like the plot and the characters.

A very strong start! This girl's got her mind set, and I can tell!

Here's my opinion on the matter:
Here in Asia, there are literally hordes of emos, and some of them have been influenced by Twilight. To some extent, Twilight does make people emo, but not as much as other emofying influences do.

As for Twilight itself, it totally ruined vampires. True, Stephnie Meyer did want to create something new to the genre, but she took things too quickly. She could just introduce her concept slowly, so that the readers could adjust to it. Old-fashioned vampires are really cool, because at least they can fight well. The movie sucked so bad, because Edward can't act, and Bella looks like some idiot. As for vampires sparkling in the sun, armored soldiers are cooler when they sparkle compared to vampires. At least they can really kick butts and defend well!
The Cullens are side-breeds.
As for wolves, they're cool!

And interesting start to the game. Let's see how he hold up!

Once again, I think emo is a very relative term... A lot of people confuse "gothic" with "emo," and "punk" with "emo," and so many other "labels." I think people should get out of the habit of classifying people that way.

And no Angelo, Twilight itself doesn't make people "emo." People make people "emo" by themselves, they just try to use things like Twilight as an excuse.

Firm as ever! Well done young lady!

Out here, there are many emos, as I said earlier.
@Embie-chan: Wow, Twilight doesn't make people emo? I'm shocked, I really am.

Uh Oh..... *looks to Embie-chan for a response*

Well Angelo I don't see why you WOULD be shocked, seeing as Koko-chan and I both read the book, and neither of us are "emo."
=___=
Most of my friends read the books too and LOVED the movie even, and they're the exact opposite of "emo."

HOOO SNAPPP!

It's just that, I've seen a lot of people go "emo" after reading it, and I'm not sure if it's a coincidence. Let's hope so.
Oo, it seems he's losing momentum now! this is turning into a VERY interesting match!

Maybe people in the Philippines are just weird
BURN.

I agree, most people in this country are weird.
Besides, the "emos" I was talking about are the suicidal ones.
They are like a horde!

Interesting.... What will happen next?

What, so now anyone who's suicidal is "emo" too?
There are lots of things that make people suicidal Angelo. I hardly count Twilight as one of them.
Things like Chronic Depression and childhood trauma make people suicidal, not reading a book about vampire romance.
Besides, you could say I AM "emo" because "emo" was originally short for "emotional" and I have plenty of emotions. I should hope EVERYONE is "emo" because a world without emotions would be terrible.
I don't know what people think "emo" means now, but I've always been one for tradition and I'll stick with the original definition.
So yes, I gues Twilight DOES make people "emo" because it makes them FEEL things.

Oh Dang! SHE WENT POMPEII ON HIS A**! I wonder how he will respond to this passionate argument!

Well, I'm "emo", as in emotional as well.
The problem is, most people define "emo" as being suicidal, by slashing their wrists and all that stuff.

Ah, the generic "everyone does this" method... a bit crude, but fairly effective... IF used right. Let's see...

Well it seemed like you did too, Angelo. Until I said something.
Most people must not know what the word emotional means then.

Oh dang. the method failed utterly. She is on a ROLE today, folks!

Yay for being emotional!
Huh...?

Ummm, did you catch that..?
I said that YOU thought "emo" meant the same thing as everyone else did until I said something about it.
It wasn't really something to cheer about ^^'

DOUBLE BURN.

Oops, I was confused. ^^'
I forgot to describe what stereotypical "emos" here look like and act.

Eh?

Erm.
Does that have anything to do with what I said before...?
Now I'm confused, Please enlighten me Angelo.

The mimic tactic! OMG I've never seen it used to skillfully before!! How will he respond to this?!

Yes.
The stereotypical "emo" out here has the following characteristics:
emotional, sensitive, shy, introverted, or angst-ridden.
It is also associated with depression, self-injury, and suicide.

The problem is, I have no idea why they went "emo" a few days after reading Twilight.

OH DANG THIS IS GETTING GOOOOOOD! It seems he didn't understand her "confusion!" Let's take this back to the arguers, and see what will happen next!
