*sigh* Lived there for only 3 years but miss it terribly. The food is what I loved most there because whatever you felt like eating you could get. Granted the only Mexican place I could find was a bit pricy to be honest I think it was on Dempsey hill, forgot now. Anyway, KINOKUNIYA was one of my favourite places to spend an afternoon and Art Friend was like heaven! Sure after a while it became boring (I'm one of those folks who goes around the country every weekend) once you see everything you deem worth seeing but you know what they say...once something is gone (ROTI PRATHA, MEE GORENG, DUCK RICE T_T) is the only time you notice it. I wouldn't mind going back there for holiday but Singapore is one of those countries that are good for families, not so much when you're still young in my opinion.

Very safe. I lived there for a while back in 2009. The place I was renting is a bit near somerset station. Anyway one night I was in Orchard hanging out with friends and I missed the last train U_U
I had to walk back home alone coz my friends didn't live in the same area as I did; it was roughly a 30min walk. I didn't feel uneasy at all. In fact it was a very pleasant stroll back home despite how late it was. If I did that in other countries, I might have gotten mugged or something O__o
So yeah....Love Singapore. Such a nice place. Definitely wanna go there again |

Why the hell do they put up with those barbaric censorship laws? They need to adopt America's superior values instead!
Singaporeans, overthrow your savage, backward government and replace it with one that actually respects freedom. Ditch the fucked-up drug laws, the ban on porn--all of it! If not, become an American colony and we'll import the superior American way to your lands and to the world. All nations must accept our ways and renounce their backward values.
