Just curious.. Do you think anime will surpass other cartoons like Walt Disney, Warner Brothers etc. ?

In our century anime has become quite popular throughout the world...Others cartoons might become the past... or so

I don't see it happening, really. I mean, there's some animes for little kids, but for the most part, it's all cartoons. Anime only appeals to a certain crowd. Maybe in Japan, but in America, I think we'll stick to cartoons. :p

If anime would surpass the ''cartoons'' like how you've said it. I would lose my interest in anime.

But, I think that there's still a chance that this will happen, maybe tommorow, next year, or 245645456 years later. No one will know this.

topic fail! Anime is a term used by the Japanese to refer to animated cartoons, from their own country and from others as well. Somehow, though, the world started using the term anime in reference to Japanese cartoons exclusively.

I doubt it because the tv stations are just now starting to kinda add a lot more anime but the stations themselves are making new cartoons. So they are going to show their product and the popular stuff is usually what is on tv.

What exactly do you mean by "surpass"? Like surpassing in total sales? Surpassing in global popularity? Or if in the future there will be more anime theme parks out there than Disney and Warner Bros? Or do you mean if there will be a day when there are more anime than american cartoons on Cartoon Network? Or if...etc.

Here, in Canada and The States, they're slowly turning everything into CG.
And replacing the regular lineup with crappily dubbed anime shows...
Just look what they've done to poor Ol' Pooh Bear.

I want my old Pooh back! :(
