Like make gintama or naruto the shonen version of the same thing. 1; i think Shugo Chara is great actually. if you look past pigeon-holed BS like "its for girls" you can find some really good story and characters in anime "for girls".. where as anime for boys is usually a lot of people being loud and stupid, and getting in fights. then again i love Naruto too, tho heaven help me if i can figure out why XD 2; as if Naruto or Gintama (and the like) need any viewer-incentive to begin with. DB was recording an average 50,000 dl per episode when they were fansubbing it, with who can only guess how many who watched it when it was reuploaded onto other sites all over the place. 3; that said, the mods have directly said that they want to do lots more contests like these in the future. i'm certain that they will take similar thoughts into their consideration and will try to balance the contests like these out between male and female targetted anime over time. I understand why some guys may like shugo chara as for plot, character development ect, I myself liked the shoujo Full Moon wo Sagashite as it was catchy and epic, but shugo chara is just a tad too much of a pixi stick for me to handle with those chibi egg things and how they blatently cater to 13 yearold girls with how they introduce the OP in the more recent eps with the lush flower and pink surroundings and the chibis talking to you all cutsey, and yes I watched up to like ep 6 before deciding whether or not to continue  I look forward to what other contests they come up with here at CR. |

What they don't realize is some 1st episodes are complete misleads, or actually intended to be misleading or "different" then the rest of the series. I think a great example is the start of the first series of tower of druaga. Tho just because I dump something due to my own aesthetic, doesn't mean I think it's bad, just not quite to my taste. I have seen over 180 series/movies/ova's in the last 12 years that I've watched anime, and I rarely ever drop any series, sometimes when I do, its just my lack of willpower to keep watching, hence I take a long term break, consisting of months off from anime, and when I get back, I might not even finish it. Like one of my fav series "monster" I got to episode 70 out of like 75 and I just stopped watching for no reason, I still haven't finished it... |

Another good example of a series I randomly stopped haha, I finished the first series and then started second. I got up to like episode 10 in the second series over a period of 7 months, then in the last year, I've slowly made my way to episode 20. I actually started S2 the day it started airing =/ once I finish that up, I gotta get started on S3 ova's Thanks for reminding me haha, that is actually a great series. |
