Hey guys, I'm sure some of you have noticed that Library edits, that are submitted by users like you, have been taking ages to get approved or disapproved. This was because our approval system was a bit buggy which isn't too surprising since it's a complex system! But the team has revisited it and overhauled the user interface a little but more importantly the approval system was vastly improved. These changes makes it much easier to manage the library so we can finally get rolling on sorting these submitted changes and promote more users to contribute towards building up the Library catalog.

Naturally to better manage the growing Library, we're going to need some help. So if you are a literary whiz (or grammar nazi =P ), who has some time to spare and is interested in helping out, please post your application in this thread and we'll choose a solid group of people to become CR-Library Moderators. Good Luck!

The responsibilities of a CR-Library Moderator would be to Approve/Disapprove submitted library edits/submissions and to oversee the information provided on the Library pages in general.

Application Directions: Please answer these questions and only post applications in this thread.
(Type eloquently, elaborate and use big words like 'Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious')

Updated: Sorry I forgot to put a deadline. The deadline for all applications is 2 weeks from the start of this thread, which would be June 12th (or just use the countdown timer to avoid timezone confusion).

Update 2: Sorry again, I just realized a typo in my timer and had briefly locked the thread because the timer was up. >_>

Update 3: No more applications are being accepted and we're now deciding on who to pick. There is no exact ETA on this, we will announce everything as soon as it's decided but it shouldn't take much more than a week.

1) What skills do you possess that you think would help you if you were selected to be a Library Moderator?

2) What character traits best define who you are?

3) Are you familiar with wiki sites and have you ever contributed to one? If so, which one(s) and what was your username there?

4) Have you submitted changes or additions to our Library before?

5) How much free time do you think you would be able to devote to library moderating every week?

6) What other responsibilities do you have that occupy your time?

7) Here you may type any other thoughts you have that weren't covered in the previous questions:

Hello BK.

My skills are limited, but they may be useful in this position. I can efficiently plan a piece of writing, from essay-writing to description-editing. I can write and rewrite what others have written to suit the subject matter, I have an extensive vocabulary as to express an idea, and I can express an idea through unique ways.

My personality is different from others, as I do not depend on others for my decision-making. I believe I am rational and collected, although on the aggressive tendency. I am also rather spontaneous, and can be fun and nice depending on the occasion.

I have yet to submit an addition to a wiki or to the Library, but I am interested in it's potential functions.

I will have much time to devote to library moderating, as I would only be wasting that time doing nothing anyways. I have no other responsibilities other than that of my educational requirements.

Thank you very much for reading over my application. Good luck in searching for the appropriate library mod.

My last note: Pity me!

7 ) Here you may type any other thoughts you have that weren't covered in the previous questions: I live in Australia, if that helps for timezone purposes...

Q.1: What skills do you possess that you think would help you if you were selected to be a Library Moderator?
A.1: I know how to look things up, and I'm pretty up-to-date with most anime. Also, I'm a Freshman in High School, but when I took a placement test for college I got one point lower than the highest score on the English part.

Q.2: What character traits best define who you are?
A.2: アニメおたく, まんがおたく, Loyal, and Trustworthy.

Q.3: Are you familiar with wiki sites and have you ever contributed to one? If so, which one(s) and what was your username there?
A.3: I'm familiar with MANY wiki sites such as http://aqworlds.wikia.com/wiki/AdventureQuest_Worlds_Wiki and the plain old http://www.wikipedia.org/. My username was Elegroth, but I think I might have had a different one for Wikipedia.

Q.4: Have you submitted changes or additions to our Library before?
A.4: Yes, for Reborn! and awhile back for Naruto Shippuden.

Q.5:
How much free time do you think you would be able to devote to library moderating every week?
A.5: On Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays I can devote all of my time. On Monday - Thursday I have a morning college class so you only have to shave off about two or three hours on those days.

Q.6: What other responsibilities do you have that occupy your time?
A.6: Reading, Washing Dishes, Taking out the Trash, just the daily chores. Also, College Classes during the summer and High School (Really Easy High School) during other parts of the year.

Q.7: Here you may type any other thoughts you have that weren't covered in the previous questions:
A.7: Well, I try to watch every anime that's on here and http://www.hulu.com/ that isn't dubbed. I actually look things up when I want to find them out, instead of waiting hours for someone to send me an answer to a question.

If I am chosen as Library Mod, I would love to demonstrate my modding skills. 1) What skills do you possess that you think would help you if you were selected to be a Library Moderator?
I'm a 2007 user and I have seen the changes that are taking place even before I nuke my old account. I have a wide range of knowledge on both games and Anime. I can tell whether the submitted article is suitable to be approved or not. If I sense something is wrong in the article, I'm willing to do anything to correct it. I'm almost a grammar nazi, and that should be a good ability for this application.

2) What character traits best define who you are?
Patient, loyal, dedicated, and willing to help any way I can.

3) Are you familiar with wiki sites and have you ever contributed to one? If so, which one(s) and what was your username there?
I'm familiar with wiki sites. Unfortunately, I have never contribute to one.

4) Have you submitted changes or additions to our Library before?
I haven't submitted any article, but I do have a wide range of approved videos back in my old account.

5) How much free time do you think you would be able to devote to library moderating every week?
Midterms are over for me, so I should have at least 6-7 hours.

6) What other responsibilities do you have that occupy your time?
I'm here most of the time, but I do have a group in CR to look after

7) Here you may type any other thoughts you have that weren't covered in the previous questions:
Even though I haven't uploaded much in this account, I'm willing to dedicate my time for the approving articles job. I'm applying for this because I want to help, and I want to offer any help I can to keep this site sane forever.

I'll give this a shot!! >_<

1) What skills do you possess that you think would help you if you were selected to be a Library Moderator?

I’m pretty good with researching and editing writings. Google is one my best friends.

2) What character traits best define who you are?

I'm dependable, literate(grammar nazi >:P), knowledgeable, and hardworking... only at times I tend to be lazy because i don't like the work that is given to me, but if the reason is to help improve CR, then i would be very very happy to do it and lend a hand :DD

3) Are you familiar with wiki sites and have you ever contributed to one? If so, which one(s) and what was your username there?

Yes, I am quite familiar with wiki sites, but unfortunately, I have never contributed to one. I’ve only done minor edits.

4) Have you submitted changes or additions to our Library before?

Yes, I have.

5) How much free time do you think you would be able to devote to library moderating every week?

Well, I already spend most of my free time here in CR(every single day), and since school is almost over, I’m not really doing anything anymore, so I would say, about more than a half the week or even more than that really.

6) What other responsibilities do you have that occupy your time?

As I have already stated my school year is almost over and summer is just around the corner and I don’t really have any plans yet, so I don’t really have any responsibilities really. Only minor ones I guess, like some chores around the house… but that’s really easily done on my part.

7) Here you may type any other thoughts you have that weren't covered in the previous questions:

I really would love to have this job and learn new things in the process . If I do get chosen, I promise to do the work with the best of my abilities!!

Thank you very much for reading my application and I do hope that I get chosen. Also, I wish you Good Luck in picking the new moderators!!

1) What skills do you possess that you think would help you if you were selected to be a Library Moderator?
Being an active uploader since my return to CR up until the CR revolution. I have a good range of knowledge on Dramas and Games, so when someone submitted an article for either games or dramas, I can tell if they have taken it from the Wikipedia, or some other website. I can easily spot misleading submitted articles, and if I'm not sure about anything, I'm not afraid to ask for help.

2) What character traits best define who you are?
I'm loyal, and highly dedicated if I got the job.

3) Are you familiar with wiki sites and have you ever contributed to one? If so, which one(s) and what was your username there?
I use it a lot, but I haven't contributed to one.

4) Have you submitted changes or additions to our Library before?
I haven't submitted any article changes before, but I do submitted a large number of videos. In both this account, and my old account.

5) How much free time do you think you would be able to devote to library moderating every week?
I have approximately 10 hours of dedication. Otherwise, I spend most of the time with my friends.

6) What other responsibilities do you have that occupy your time?
I have college, so it does take away some time, but not a lot.

7) Here you may type any other thoughts you have that weren't covered in the previous questions:
Back in September / October 2007, I've applied for a Media Moderator position, and I failed. Two weeks after that, I left CR for Myspace. However, on May 2008, a friend of mine said that I was suggestion as a Media Moderator position during the September recruitment, but the votes weren't enough to make me one of the five Media Moderators, and because of that, I have decided to return to CR and dedicated my time here again. Even though I have left CR for almost half a year, my knowledge on the site issues and video systems still remains because I believe my part in CR is not over yet.
