UFC (Ultimate Fighting Championship) - a U.S.-based mixed martial arts (MMA) organization, had a reputation as of 2008[update] as the largest MMA promotion in the world. Zuffa, LLC, headquartered in Las Vegas, Nevada, owns and operates the UFC. The UFC focuses on the heavier weight classes in MMA, whereas its sister promotion, the WEC, focuses on the lighter weights. The UFC began as a single-event tournament to find the world's best fighters irrespective of their style. Although there were a limited number of rules, promoters marketed fighting in the UFC as no holds barred, and contests were often violent and brutal. Early UFC fights were less sport than spectacle, which led to accusations of brutality and "human cock fighting" by Senator John McCain and others.

IVC (International Vale Tudo Championships) - I think this is also known as rioheroes, but not sure. A No Holds Barred fighting promotion based in Sao Paulo, Brazil. The promotion was founded by Brazilian promoter Sergio Batarelli after he parted ways with the WVC promotion where he used to serve mainly as a matchmaker and consultant. While most of the mixed fight promotions around the world were moving towards sanctioning/regulation and a stricter set of rules, the IVC was a notable exception that clung to the No Holds Barred fighting banner of vale tudo with a minimal ruleset. In comparison to the UFC, which at the time of the IVC had begun to get safer formalised rules and weight divisions, the IVC genuinely had almost no rules. The IVC's tagline, mocking the UFC claim of THERE ARE NO RULES!, was When we say "THERE ARE NO RULES"....we mean it!. However, it must be noted that the IVC did institute weight divisions from the IVC 2 show onwards. Fights were bare knuckle and consisted of one 30-minute round.

DEEP - A Japanese mixed martial arts promotion which specializes in the lighter weight classes.. It is promoted by Shigeru Saeki who is also the former Public Relations Director of PRIDE Fighting Championships. DEEP is considered second-tier Japanese promotion, as a feeder to larger shows like DREAM. Their inaugural event took place in 2001 and featured Paulo Filho and Royler Gracie. On May 17, 2008, DEEP announced a partnership with ZST to share fighters, co-promote shows and eventually unify the promotions.

M1-Global (M-1 MixFight) - Mixed martial arts promotion based in Russia. M-1 Challenge is a team-based competition organized by M-1 Global. M-1 Challenge is a series of events held in different places of the Earth where MMA clubs compete against each other. The teams consist of five athletes (one in each weight class).
