Why do people pair two people that dislike each other as same sex couples in anime (In Yugioh fanfiction/doujinshi, Jounouchi and Kaiba are a populare pairing)? I understand a close friendship between two guys or two girls that's of a sisterly/brotherly/parental type would be viewed by fans as a yaoi/yuri relationship? Now Konohamaru's yuri and yaoi Sexy Jutsus could have fans thinking that. I honestly wish Kishimoto hadn't put this in the manga because I just find it comically revolting.

More: Guys like Sasuke Uchiha are essentially this: potentially asexual guys who are more concerned with things like revenge or whatever rather than girls. Just because a person in anime/manga doesn't exactly portray interest to the opposite gender doesn't automatically make them gay. Yet Sai and Sasuke are frequently paired with other Naruto guys! The infamous SasuNaru kiss wasn't intentionally done by the two. Naruto fell off the desk and it was an accident.

Even more: Why do people occasionally do incestous yaoi/yuri? I find that wrong.

Finally: I don't understand why are shounen series common in yaoi? I have seen a site online that alludes to Quatre and Trowa of Gundam Wing having subtexts of BL. From what I have read, Saiyuki has lots of shounen-ai undertones.

All of us americans grew up in a society which saw such things as weird or taboo.Even though as kids,we were somewhat unaware of the situation,we got the general idea that homosexuality and incest was wrong. But that applies to most of us,others may have seen other views on homosexuality or incest as a different way of living.I can see why you asking why do opposites somehow make a pair. But think about it.

Opposites attract. In real life, sometimes opposites can make happy life together. As long there is true love between two people,it cant be broken.

But i get your point, two people who are opposites shouldnt be together. But we are talking about anime.Anime which has so many different stories to tell.It is up to what the creator wants to make. And people like to see pairings like this.So there is no point to fight it.Cause anime fans hating on other anime fans will gget us nowhere. If we want to create a united anime fanbase.

Thanks for the compliment.Anime fans have to stop pointless fighting in order to stand against the problems anime faces.Thats what I believe should happen, even if it seems too idealistic.

I have a dream! That anime fans from shall unite from all parts of the globe.A day when all can achieve happiness, life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness.A day when yaoi and yuri fans stand together.A day when Bleach and Naruto fans stand together.A day when Japan and America, two former enemies, learn that our destiny is tied together. All nations on our great planet our tied by strings of fate. And because of that,I have a dream.

I believe one day, anime fans and anime haters shall begin to put away the hate. And the hate fades away. That anime fans arent judged by the anime they watch.but by the content of their character.

I have dream of not only anime fans together, but all humankind uniting for the purpose of understanding and communication.

I have a dream of when homosexuality, incest, lolicon, shotacon, and all kinds of anime media is seen with eyes of tolerance. That all anime fans and anime shows can get along.

The United Anime Nation(modelled after the UN) will one day unite anime fans.No matter what anime they like or hate.No matter their past, beliefs, and ideals.

P.S.I know im off topic. But anime fans have been fighting against each other for so long, its time it stopped.Im tired of it,casual fans against hardcore fans is tearing us apart. And the eroge attacks and lolicon attacks arent making things better. We suffer from so many problems as a people,if we dont stop the annoying fighting amongst ourselves,we are DEAD

Woah you people even made a vol.2 for total gayness

Who cares? It's not real anyway. I'm good with incest in anime/ manga. Not in real life obviously >_>
And I like yaoi and yuri even though I am straight.
It's what the fans want, and sometimes it can be comical too. If you don't like it, don't watch/read it.
Simple.

My motto on life has always been "to each his/her own" as long as it doesn't hurt anyone else.

I, on my part, love yaoi. I've been reading and watching it for years. All the men are either beautiful or really chibi cute, and all the sex being portrayed sounds and appears to be a lot more enjoyable than what happens in real life.

I have nothing against anyone who doesn't like yaoi/yuri, what I just don't like is if you suddenly start spouting off "WE SHOULD CENSOR YAOI/YURI" crap. That kind of verbal fecal matter should stay in your narrow brains where it belongs. Yaoi/Yuri doesn't hurt anyone, and truth be told, I don't enjoy Yuri, but I don't go around telling everyone that they shouldn't enjoy it too. I don't like watching Incest mangas/animes as well, but I'm not complaining to anyone about it. If people enjoy it, leave them alone. Just as long as it doesn't hurt anyone, it should be fine.

This will never happen. As you might know are there many kinds of anime on category fans. First, the bishounen fangirls; narutards; Mecha freaks; weeabo's; and go so on. I believe that we cannot get along with all these kind of people. I in all honesty have no problems with all these Yaoi, Yuri, Incest or Hentai anime, after all I enjoy a couple of them like Loli, Yuri, and Hentai. As an anime watcher you have to be open-minded, to get along with other people. Because you have to accept that people like to watch these kinds of anime. But, there's no chance in 903498342923489023498 years that it will happen. Unless everyone will only watch the same animes and can't have an different view on situations and genre's?. Are you trying to force us to do that?

Your ideals, dreams, beliefs, can you please don't preach them in a forum full with these kind of people? There's nobody who will answer it seriously, because most of the decent members left anyway. If you posted this a couple of months earlier, you would get more responses as only mine >;)

Uh... wouldn't it be just a regular fetish?
Why do people worry so much about other people's fetishes?
It's really not that they think the characters are gay, they just enjoy fantasizing about it. Why are only your fantasies normal to you?
