Why won't you roll out very 'popular' anime shows and not so lame shows like School Days.
If you're really true anime fans you would know which is nice to watch and which is horrible, Mr. Shinji and friends. If you're going to put out random anime and limited to some regions, forget about licensing such shows which could be boring. Masaka, you put it up for someone who might like it?
Can't we have a poll on what type of anime we want?

Again, please at LEAST mention the COUNTRY that can watch the anime so that will be not be a hassle for us or a DISAPPOINTMENT to us who CANNOT watch the SHOW DUE TO LICENSING RESTRICTION.

*Sigh* Another anime unavailable in my region...I tell you if it wasn't for Shangri-la and Hitman Reborn I don't think I'd bother visiting this place. Naruto seems stuck in filler land and i'm losing interest in it.
The rest are all aimed at the female of the species, and the only other shows that might interest are region locked.

Naruto is off the filler, as of this week it resumes back to the manga story and you will get to see more of Sasgay now... Sorry i mean Sasuke..
Btw Saki is worth watching, even though you might not know anything about mahjong, still worth watching a few episodes.

@harryisme: then buy a membership, and represent your region. CR can only report to the companies the stats they have.
[company X]: "so where are you fans located?" [Crunchroll]: "all over the world you guys"
[company X]: "ok but who's actually paying for it?" [Crunchroll]: "oh, well mostly us/canada...[etc wherever]"
[company X]: "ok so we're gonna license this to those 3 regions, and since nobody else is paying for it, we'll hold off there since they don't seem really intersted."
or in other words.. the licensing follows the money.

@Khalid: lol @ Sasgay, Queen of the emos. "behold, as i sit here and brood, like some angry twilight vampire. swoon for me my fangirl minions~ grr~" yea most of the time i would totally agree. he certainly showed a much different, much more interesting side of himself today tho.. can't wait to see next week's ^__^
and yea, Saki is really cute.. but kinda girly, which he was already complaining about.

they probably don't really have a choice. licensing things costs money, so they're still limited in what they can afford to buy. alternatively, studios will choose to test the waters, with series they don't expect to lose a lot on if they just "give it away" and it completely fails. in other words, they figure the series won't be popular enough to make a profit on DVD sales, so they let Crunchyroll bite on the distribution costs, and they can measure the response compared to how they think the DVD's would have done, and see if this may be a more effective distribution method overall, for low- or mid- profit series. the really high profit series? yea, they'll be going to DVD only for a long time, until Crunchyroll and sites like it are -well- established, and and can throw very large suitcases of money around to get producers' interest.

as for holding a poll on it, well the closer my previous point is to being accurate, the less that poll results would matter anyways.if we -are- at this point essentially relying on the generosity of the studios, they're just going to give CR a nice chuckle when it asks for the "big ones" and give it a pat on the head and send it outside to go play.. :P

patience and gratitude are what Crunchyroll needs right now. get your premium memberships. show the studios that this place is popular, and that it can bring in the money. they aren't going to tighten their grip on the "big" series until they know they can make the money back that they would lose on DVD sales.

There's really no point in getting the prenium memberships if there's no show in your area.

look at it the other way as well; if no one in your region buys any memberships, the companies will look at that and say "oh they must not be interested" ... it's a really crappy situation, i get it. but other than proving that you are interested, i don't see how to resolve it.

Tell me about it. Getting tired of fake thigh highlights, panties shots and over-exaggerated nether and chest regions.

Sad thing is...once these anime episodes are posted guys are going to be getting off to them. Since when did crunchyroll turn into a porn site -_-

id totally want proof from chrunchyroll that buying a premium account would bring more anime to our region. seeing as im in the uk wouldn't the second largest market be europe after america? plus you kinda have to bait a hook to catch more fish, (sorry for the fishing anology)

*sigh* 1 more on the whole region lock, oh and note that I have the little orange star next to my name and I try to plug the site and membership as often as I can to get more peeps onboard, Your doing a good job getting stuff Shinji but hows about trying for some love for those of us other than the Continental US.

Oh the anime market generally seems to suck but given much reduced selection and having to pay a ridiculous amount generally (roughly double the US cost last time I looked) in the U.K. I don't really find that that surprising.
