Gintama:
Crunchyroll is releasing 1 simulcast (newest) episode and 4 catalog episodes every week for Anime Members. See the calendar for more details!

REBORN:
it appears like they release 1 new ep, and as many as 7 catalog eps each week. at least, that's my assumption based on there being 7 members only eps that aren't new releases. there's no official word on the page, and the "coming soon" feature on the front page hasn't crawled around to friday yet.

and the -difference- is, Gintama and REBORN are -new-, and gravion isn't. heck, Leji Matsumoto's works (Captain Harlock, Galaxy Express 999) which were the next most recent announcements, are like some 30-40 years old.

*edit*
wow, speaking of old series. . . thinking about this has made me realize just how long i've been watching One Piece, Naruto, and Bleach.>.O;;;

I know what he means. Like the Reborn and Gintama episodes before the new one. They are missing a whole a lot episodes. Put them up. I got a membership because of Gintama and Naruto. Not whorebags and mecha shows.

i know what he meant as well. my point was basically "this is the way they're doing it for those series, suck it up." if you don't like it, well.. too bad? it hasn't exactly been all that long since CR decided to go 'legit', and like i said, there's going to be some experimentation to see what distribution methods work best, for THEMSELVES as well as fans.

meanwhile there's a whole ton of series on the rest of the site.
you can complain about one particular series for the whole week till the next eps are released, or you can go watch another one: http://www.crunchyroll.com/lineup

Sad thing is...once these anime episodes are posted guys are going to be getting off to them. Since when did crunchyroll turn into a porn site -_-

I haven't seen this show, but I a fairly certain that you know, this being the internet and all, that there are probably better things to be "getting off to." I'm assuming that this was fairly cheap, and it covers a rather large niche, so it makes sense to have it. No one has to watch it. Don't get me wrong, I think Saki* and School Days and so on are sick shows, but if it makes money, why not?

Hmm. It seems awesome. But I guess I can't help it as a girl like me, half of the anime will most likely be perked back up by the jiggly bits. And that doesn't turn me on at all and it's a constant reminder that it's for the guys, it makes it really hard for me to actually connect to an anime when I feel like I'm sitting on a pair of invisible balls. LOL oh well.

lmao.. interesting comparison.. hahaha
yea, i'm a GUY and i sometimes find myself wishing they'd dial the fanservice back to a more subtle level too. like "oh my god, can't you keep a shirt on for a whole episode?" or "you'd think this girl would start wearing pants by now.. or at least some kind of shorts under her skirt..." or in the most extreme cases "that's a whole new meaning for 'dual independent suspension', isn't it.."

the most 'amazing' example i've ever seen is the DOA Beach Volleyball 2 trailer. i say 'amazing' because it's simply fascinating.. you can't take your eyes off it.. like some kind of hideous highway accident...

For your information, due to the regional restriction or licensing restriction, I watch most of the anime introduced by Crunchyroll backdoor that is watching it at other website. It is really frustrating as I was once a supporter of Crunchyroll but now I just use it as a platform to know about the anime and watch it at other website that stream it.

PS: I still a supporter of stream anime and not a supporter of download anime.

as you can see, most (not all) websites comprising of different animes, are usually illegal.
most of them are torrent downloads or basically leeched from original CDs. CR Began Licensing long ago, see as they Licensed those Megaman EXE, Bleach and Alice Academy so that they wont be leeching anime from producers.

this simulcasts shinji is talking about is probably legit, and is distributed to selected Regions. However, i do not like the regional restrictions..

*Sigh* Another anime unavailable in my region...I tell you if it wasn't for Shangri-la and Hitman Reborn I don't think I'd bother visiting this place. Naruto seems stuck in filler land and i'm losing interest in it.
The rest are all aimed at the female of the species, and the only other shows that might interest are region locked.

_Khalid wrote:
Naruto is off the filler, as of this week it resumes back to the manga story and you will get to see more of Sasgay now... Sorry i mean Sasuke..
Btw Saki is worth watching, even though you might not know anything about mahjong, still worth watching a few episodes.

@harryisme: then buy a membership, and represent your region. CR can only report to the companies the stats they have.
[company X]: "so where are you fans located?" [Crunchroll]: "all over the world you guys"
[company X]: "ok but who's actually paying for it?" [Crunchroll]: "oh, well mostly us/canada...[etc wherever]"
[company X]: "ok so we're gonna license this to those 3 regions, and since nobody else is paying for it, we'll hold off there since they don't seem really intersted."
or in other words.. the licensing follows the money.

Why because I'm made of money? I don't see why I should have to pays for a service im not getting, I was all prepared to pay for the full membership, but you know if you aren't getting the service, you're not going to pay for it. When you buy a bus/train ticket, and the bus is only quater full, the bus still leaves on time and reaches it's destination. If the driver sits around twiddling his thumbs, waiting for more passengers, the passenger they have is not going to be happy and find an alternative method of transport in the future, and the transport company will lose customers they already had in the hope of possible other customers.

No one likes being treated as a second class citizen, which is what I bet the Europeon (and other regions where the animes are not shown) premium membership feel like. If CR want me to subcribe, then either give me the same service they provide the North American community, or charge me less for the fact i'm i'm not getting the same service, I refuse to pay the same as the next man if i'm not getting the same service, plain and simple.

You'd have to be an idiot to work with the logic you used. 'I'll pay this company money because six months down the line, I'll get the service I want.'

I haven't seen the show either. But, when I stumble upon an anime, thinking it's going to be good, only to discover they go out of their way to make impossible situations, like somehow the camera just has to be at that angle to see their underwear, it gets a bit frustrating. One very big similarity I noticed between all of them, they add huge shine spots to the thighs, something that does not happen necessarily happen naturally. I know chests that defy gravity are a huge part of guy targeted anime, but then the author also goes out of the way to draw clothes that are too small to further emphasize them, or clothes that are sheet thin so they wrinkle and drape all over them.

I started watching Saki only to realize the twist to it. The story is a bare basics one with every single thing I've described above.

No one really has to watch the shows but I am praying crunchyroll doesn't turn to semi-porn as a large part of their database.

It's because this is the internet that some guys are probably getting off to the new show.
