**MILD SPOILER**
Honey and Clover It's about Takemoto Yuta. A almost broke student attending a art college with his two senpais: Shinobu Morita, and Takumi Mayama. Their Teacher Hanamoto Sensei brings a petite doll like 18 year old girl back to the college one day and introduces her as his cousin. Hagu. Instantly Yuta and Morita fall in love with the girl. And Mayama has to deal with Ayumi. A fellow student, who's madly in love with him. But he pushes her away for the beautiful and handicapped Rika. His boss. But is it the right choice? Honey and Clover is a hilarious, tear jerking shoujo manga about becoming an adult, love triangles, and friends. Ayumi *far left* Morita *bottom left* Mayama *Top* Hagu *Bottom right* and Yuta *far right* ^^

shoujo manga with a guy main character? i dont think that even exist, it wouldnt be shoujo if it was a guy has the lead. maybe u need to look deeper into what kind of story u want to read. if its romance, (imma a huge fan of) look through that genre senin, romance, etc. i think looking for shoujo manga with a male lead is like looking for boy's love in a manga with all girl characters...impossible

i agree sometimes im annoyed with the girl's point of view...

You can read/watch Shounen anime instead? I generally satisfy my anime craving with good doses of both. However the problems do not lie with the fact that Shoujo is from a female perspective and Shounen is from a male perspective. The problem is that within each perspective, they tend to objectify the other gender, and make it seem like "Wow it's so much easier to be a guy/girl"

I always read shoujo with female main characters, and to know their point of view! They are always so weak and annoying at times! Are there any shoujo manga out there with a male as main character? I know it seems weird cuz shoujo manga is for girls, but I just wanna know if there are ANY out there....

I think you would like Nodame Cantabile. The art style is very shoujo-like but it is narrated by a male main character. Unfortunately that's all I can think of right now for a show that is josei/shoujo but told from a male main character.

A lot of other suggestions I saw in here are actually Shounen/Seinen (because they were written for a target male audience and originally run in a shounen magazine, even if the authors were female like Chobits). I'm not implying that women would not enjoy certain shounen manga, just that the manga is categorized as such.

Um, The World Only God Knows?

Name all of the male characters in the series that make an appearance:
Keima Katsuragi...
Uhh Nora's Partner, I forget his name (does he even have one?)
Oh and the teacher that hates him, Kodame err uhh something sensei

and I think those the only male characters with names in the entire series.

Now name all the female characters...
This shit is straight up Shounen.

It is possible, but mostly unless it is Shounen, you're going to get a dichotomy of male and female outlooks.

I haven't read any that solely focus on a male main character, because that's more Shonen/Seinen territory.

However, as a few people mentioned throughout, there are a few series that focus a little bit more on the male point of view.

Let's see, there's the aforementioned Otomen as a shoujo series with a male lead (and really, Otomen is as shoujo as it gets), DNAngel (which was run in a shoujo manga magazine), Honey and Clover (although it's more slice of life, there are shoujo elements abound despite it technically being josei), Usagi Drop (another josei) and Natsume's Book of Friends. I know there are more but this is all that comes to mind at this early in the morning!

Please refer again to this link:

baka-manga's category search for "shoujo with male lead."

And I'll also say: several of the series you guys recommend have important male characters, but the lead (the one who sort of narrates and leads us through the story) is still female.

To address the op: there are some shoujo series with good female leads, who aren't weak, passive, and whiney. You just have to look harder for them, because the ones with annoying leads somehow end up being more popular/well-known. I have no idea why.

(@hull1996 lol, I agree. Anything published in G-Fantasy is only questionably shounen - I think the majority of the contributing mangaka are female.)
