Anyone heard anything about Aion?

Big world of warcraft gamer and have tried a couple other MMORPGs but can't really seem to get into them like i could with WOW. Tell me what you think

It simply looks amazing, I'm hoping that some of the Korean fellows on the site can provide us with more information. By the way, you can purchase the game and beta servers are opening this weekend. Good luck to you :] I wish i had more info.

I have some friends that have the beta right now. It's looks really cool to me. I know it's from Korea and I think the graphics are a lot like that of Final Fantasy XII online. I like the look. But then again. I haven't really dived into the story.

graphics are good as with any asian MMO but game lacks depth, well i know its still the beta but the pvp seems to be lacking compared to DAOC or UO havent bothers much with the pve since thats not why i play mmos -_-

concept seems cool though if they can get it working right, theres 3 factions in the game, 2 are PC and 3rd is NPC, the npc faction will attack both sides but the side with a bigger population will get attacked more often, kinda a way to balance the population without forcing server merges like they had to do with WAR a couple months in

Well been in the closed beta for about 2 months soon.. Gotta say that graphs and animations are amazing. It's also more fun to play than wow imo. Tho best if you find a friend to run around with. There's some times when you have to grind alot tho (well DUH it's an mmo). But when you ding 25 and gets to The Abyss it's all worth it tbh. The pvp fights are epic fun.

It seems to be a little more PvP oriented, even if it hasn't quite been perfected. However, there are other options for those of you that like to PvE as well. Although, the loot isn't as epic for PvE as it is for PvP. Unlike WoW, I don't think there are massive 25-man end-game raids, but the end game for Aion still looks like it could be promising. Based on what I have read and seen about the game, it seems that there will be wild sky battles and a lot of sweet techniques in a place called The Abyss. The problem I have with WoW right now is the current routine (WoW is gettin' up there in age). After you hit 80, all that's left are dailies and Ulduar four times a week. X_x I'm going to miss my WoW characters, but I'm really excited about Aion. It's going to be fresh so, even if you end up disliking it, at the very least it is something new! Hope that helps.

I considered it at first, it looked very promising at first point, but now it just feels like just another random MMORPG, to make a MMO really good it will require some uniqueness and some depths as the other guy said which Aion do lack. I tried the beta just a quickie and wasn't really mindblowing, but hey! I just tried it a quickie so I never really gave it a chance so it might turn out pretty good in the end. But I surely hope they will keep expanding the game at a decent rate and not do what they did with Guild Wars with a ridiculous max level of 20 that never changed and it wasn't hard to level neither so they should have put a "instant level 20" button in the game instead. The max level is 40 in the beta but I heard it will end up at level 50 when the game is finally released so hopefully it won't end there. In other words I'm still sceptic, I will wait and see how it turns out.

freaking redicilous stupid long time to update the game even a patch that fills 450 mb took me well over 10 hours to download :S

i was in beta of this game. it is a great game. but you have to have lots of patience. i found my self walking more then i did in world of warcraft. although i say that i still think this is a great game,

ya I heard the update of this game takes forever but going to get it on steam so it be quicker to download..
