Who is the better driver?

^ What do you mean by "too safely"? Can you give an example of how that can be dangerous?

I think saftey also has something to do with the car they drive.

Usually, men are more on raw power and specs than women who pay attention to special features and accessories. Men like powerful cars ~ women like functional cars.

You do the math.

generally, man are more DARING than women. That's why i see women overshots and stuck at traffic lights.

Women drivers are not so confident but in the same time the young men are not so mature and with little experience like drivers and have a very strong emotion to take dangerous risks when driving.

hmm lets see. well basicaly they drive way way to slow. espacially while driving on freeways. the way they change lanes omg... slow speed+trying to change lanes = danger(i live in the city you see).
if they see a police damn changed from 35mph to 25mph. and dont forget the sudden brake when they get suprised or something.(well males do that too, but women do it often)
i know this doesnt fully support my statement and im not ranting but ohh well

edit #1: oh oh i forgot parking.. thanks to the video below me haha

I usually hate these gender threads... but in this case I have to note that I have never known a good female driver. I know the insurance company charge men as a higher risk
(If I remember correctly this is because men drive more hours then women, while women crash more per-hour then men. I need to track down that study)
But all the women I know tailgate, take corners too sharply, speed, and can't maintain attention while driving (My sister was text messaging for gods sake!)

No offense ladies. But you scare me behind the wheel.

Well... They both have their moments. All of my friends (Guys and girls) are horrible drivers in their own ways (Including me... Haha I just drive fast... I'm not really a bad driver. Haha. xD) But I'd rather be riding with a guy driver rather than a girl driver... I'd prefer to be the one driving though. Guys>Girls if I had to pick.

I find this funny. No offense girls...

-The dramatic difference between men and women in hand/eye coordination suggests that women drive far fewer miles than NHTSA estimates.

-Women pilots have a crash rate four times higher than men pilots.

-Women truckers have a crash rate six times higher than men truckers.

-NHTSA data suggests that women drivers are only 70% more likely than men drivers to have a fatal accident.

-NHTSA data suggests that a man who drinks and drives increases his probability of having an accident by 4% and ignores that sober women drivers have a probability of having an accident equivalent to that of men drivers with a BAC = 0.12.

NHTSA data suggests that if only men drove:
- Traffic accidents would decrease only 22%.
- Only 9,159 lives would be saved each year.
- Only 330,000 lives would be saved over the next 30 years.
- Only $44 billion per year would be saved in crash repair costs.

Their data suggests that if only women drove:
- There would be 23,879 more traffic fatalities each year.
- There would be 7,674 more women killed each year.

Everyone's favorite type of topic... *Sighs* There is absolutely no evidence beyond statistical records (which mean nothing) to suggest either sex is naturally better at driving than the other. Anyway, there’s a reason that we men pay more for car insurance. Cuz we (historically speaking) have had more accident than women. (Actually, that’s not true. We’ve had more “serious” accidents than women. Chicks get in more than we do, but theirs are like…fender benders.) That’s the statistics, but come on! How in the world could driving skills possibly be tied into sex?

I understood the “Who lies most” and “Who’s greedier” threads, because those are personality traits that may be notably influenced by hormones that vary between sexes… But driving skills!?
