Yay spell checker!

I HOPE EVERYONE WILL TAKE ADVANTAGE OF THE SPELL CHECKER!

Would be nice if Shinji would make the Search Toggle better.

Doubt it will happen though...

The watchlists are great! I was actually writing an application to use as a frontend for a database server running on my local machine for this very purpose. It was going to replace my current system, which consisted my Want to See, Seen Some, and Seen All lists at ANN and a spreadsheet that keeps track of how many episodes I have seen/need to see of all the series I am currently watching.

I actually had a functioning prototype that I'd started using, but then a mouse (the animal kind) caused me to suffer a catastrophic hardware failure before backing it up. (I had made the entire thing over the course of a week in my spare time.) It was going to have some advanced features that these watchlists, my spreadsheet, and ANN don't have (nor do any other sites or applications, to my knowledge). Ultimately, the idea was to convert it into a web-based service. I can't say anymore, though, because I still plan to proceed with this, because my long-term goal is to turn it into a business, the way Shinji has done with Crunchyroll. (If you can see how this idea could possibly be profitable, then I've revealed too much already.

For now, these watchlists are really all I need, which takes the pressure off me to rebuild the prototype. This time, I'll be able to go back to the beginning and devote more time to the initial design phase and incorporate all the other features from the beginning.

Now to get started on copying my information over from ANN. (This could take a while, seeing as my 'Seen All' list alone contains over 200 entries.)

I still cant see a complete history of all the episodes that I have watched. And now that the individual episode "favorite" markers no longer work and instead mark the entire series as favorite, I cant tell what the last episode I watched is either. And the history list only shows the last several items watched - not the whole history.

Need a real way to track whats been watched already in a series and what is left to watch in a series.

You can add the show to your watchlist by going to the show's main page and below the picture on the top left theres some button. Click on the one that says add to watchlist and add in the correct category and just start watching. It automatically updates it if you are still watching the show and it's available on CR. Just watch the episode and it automatically adds it in! then to review back onto it go to your page and go to the My Watchlist section below your avatar picture and click see all and you'll see what episode you didn't finish yet or had previsously watched.

As for favoriting episodes the button was moved to right above the comments along with the embed, rating, and all of that other stuff. It's in a small grey box next to the bottom right corner of the video player.

Sorry if I confused you but I hope this helped. If you need help on this again just ask me.

I heard about that! I herad that now it's head moves and the lights turn on at night! Too bad they're taking it down in a few months though...
On the bright side I heard theyre making it more automated so more than just the head moves!

Good stuff, most things work overall (the site still occasionally doesn't fully load and says it has errors on page which don't allow the smilies to work for example) but I love the watchlist and some of the other additions. Keep up the good work then!

Yes, that is what I was using. At some point in the past few days that was changed from an individual episode favorite marker to the series favorite marker. It has since been reset back to an individual episode favorite marker, but now all the episodes that I had marked as favorites using that are no longer marked as favorite - the entire episode favorite marking has been reset, except for the extremely old favorite markers, and there are only 900 of those left in my list.

Also, it looks like they reset the watchlist functions as well. All the series I had marked using the watchlists are now gone as well. I had to start over again from scratch.

So its a royal pain. I have no clue where I left off with tons of episodes, and several series I was watching I have no clue what they were anymore. I am going to have to take the time to re-build everything.

Well, hopefully it will automatically update the viewed episode count. The episode counts were way off on many of the series, usually showing too few episodes in the list.

Hmmm... you're right about the favorites and view history. but My watchlist seems to be working fine. Sorry I can't help you this time, but I think maybe you should send an report a bug to the mods about the watchlist.
AS for the favorites, Shinji has a bunch of email adresses for items. Maybe there's one for suggestions on site improvment...
