PS3 is...completely...PERFECT. : D Okay, maybe backward compatibility on the new 300 dollar model would be nice.

more HHD space. I was gonna buy a 500 GB HHD but luckily you can earn it free here http://www.points2shop.com/?ref=uin4035261252260983
Apart from that its pretty much perfect, its a sophisticated console.

Better flash support so that videos on CR don't take 10 minutes to load. Oh, and so that I can watch the 720p streams instead of only the 480p streams. I'm not sure if it is the flash software not optimized or if the cell CPU does not have the horsepower to render HD flash. I understand that the cell processor is only fast with single parallel calculations so I understand Adobe and Sony would have to put in a ton of work to optimized flash for the Cell processor to be as fast as a standard x86 CPU.

I know Sony has released Flash updates in the past, but I am hoping another one comes soon

The only other thing I would like it to have is an 802.11n adapter to stream HD video over the wireless network. Right now I have to use a wired connection to stream my transcoded 1080p content.

EDIT: Also, as posted above. More JRPG. I've already finished Valkyria Chronicles and am waiting for FF13. Eternal Sonata is the only other choice in the US ATM that I am aware of and the demo bored me.

you can actually buy one of those Wireless N adaptor to use on the ps3 like this one and it'll work as well, even though it's originally for the ps3.

I've have a pretty smooth connection over wifi, never had to wire a hardline to the triple.

Thanks for the tip. I did not know that there was a bridge out that worked with the PS3 that was 802.11n. I currently have a 802.11g bridge I use sometimes but it of course can not do HD video.

I totally agree with the backwards compatability...

its just another way for sony to make money cos people who want to play ps2 games have to buy a ps2 if they dont already have one

Backwards compatibility would never work on the PS3 to the full extent due to the cell processing unit, and plus your part is a bit true.Notice how the older models of the PS3 (2.3% of them) have given a hardware failure due to the poor implementation of the cell processor and PS2 Games.

It would be nice if there is a better online connection to playstation network for international users who want to play online but are constantly lagging. Like Xbox Live, for example

Backwards comparability would be nice but I still have my old PS2 with a mod chip so it's not that big of a deal. The biggest issue is the Internet browser is very slow, flash doesn't work well on it and I'd like to see more codec support. I still have my original PlayStation, PS2, GameCube, and Dream Cast, most of them have chips or boot discs. So the backwards comparability isn't that big of a deal.
