We can all agree that every part of the Bible is great, but if suddenly you have a verse or group of verses that strike you as significant for right here and now, you can post it here. If you want, you can also explain why they are significant.

I'll start:

Isaiah 40:28-31

Do you not know?
Have you not heard?
The LORD is the everlasting God,
the Creator of the ends of the earth.
He will not grow tired or weary,
and his understanding no one can fathom.

29 He gives strength to the weary
and increases the power of the weak.

30 Even youths grow tired and weary,
and young men stumble and fall;

31 but those who hope in the LORD
will renew their strength.
They will soar on wings like eagles;
they will run and not grow weary,
they will walk and not be faint.

I was listening to Don Moen's Like Eagles song on youtube, so I searched for the verse on Biblegateway. I really enjoyed reading the chapter while listening to the song. Afterwords, I went outside and looked to the heavens, admiring the stars and works of God.

Truly, God is worthy of all praise, and we can lean on him always.

Jeremiah 9:23-24

This is what the Lord says,

"Let not the wise man boast of his wisdom,
or the strong man boast of his strength,
or the rich man boast of his riches,
but let him who boasts boast about this,
that he understands and knows me,
that I am the Lord, who exercises kindness,
justice and righteousness on earth,
for in these I delight,"
declares the Lord.

I heard that verse in a Paul Washer sermon a few weeks ago and it's stuck with me ever since. It's all too easy to boast about things that are material and temporal, but, truly what matters more than wisdom, strength or riches is the knowledge and the fear of the Lord. As it is written, "The fear of the Lord teaches a man wisdom and humility comes before honor." (Proverbs 15:33)

However, another reason we should glorify the Lord is because all our riches, wisdom, health and strength came from the Lord. How, then, can we boast in anything else? As Galatians 6:14 says, "May I never boast except in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ, through which the world has been crucified to me and I to the world."

John 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

This verse is significant for now and forever. Somebody give Him some praise!!!

Matthew 25:31-46
Goats and sheep

31"When the Son of Man comes in his glory, and all the angels with him, he will sit on his throne in heavenly glory. 32All the nations will be gathered before him, and he will separate the people one from another as a shepherd separates the sheep from the goats. 33He will put the sheep on his right and the goats on his left.
34"Then the King will say to those on his right, 'Come, you who are blessed by my Father; take your inheritance, the kingdom prepared for you since the creation of the world. 35For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in, 36I needed clothes and you clothed me, I was sick and you looked after me, I was in prison and you came to visit me.'

37"Then the righteous will answer him, 'Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed you, or thirsty and give you something to drink? 38When did we see you a stranger and invite you in, or needing clothes and clothe you? 39When did we see you sick or in prison and go to visit you?'

40"The King will reply, 'I tell you the truth, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers of mine, you did for me.'

41"Then he will say to those on his left, 'Depart from me, you who are cursed, into the eternal fire prepared for the devil and his angels. 42For I was hungry and you gave me nothing to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me nothing to drink, 43I was a stranger and you did not invite me in, I needed clothes and you did not clothe me, I was sick and in prison and you did not look after me.'

44"They also will answer, 'Lord, when did we see you hungry or thirsty or a stranger or needing clothes or sick or in prison, and did not help you?'

45"He will reply, 'I tell you the truth, whatever you did not do for one of the least of these, you did not do for me.'

46"Then they will go away to eternal punishment, but the righteous to eternal life."

Never turn anyone away who is in need. Do not shut the gates of heaven for anyone, for terrible things will await those who do. I am uncomfortable with telling others about God and my beliefs in him. However, I fear him who has the power over my soul more than those who have the ability to make me suffer in this life. You all are not alone, because all Christians are going through the same thing to greater or lesser degrees on this earth. Tell at least one person about God that you know today. Make a sheep out of a goat.

I too need to work on this, so this is not just for my friends here, but for myself as well.

Proverbs 19:3 - "A man's own folly ruins his life, yet his heart rages against the Lord."

This is a verse that I've come back to over and over again from the day that God showed it to me. How often are we, as humans, even as Christians, all too quick to blame God for the bad in our lives and pat ourselves on the back for all the good, when, in all truthfulness, it's really the other way around. James 1 talks about how every good gift comes from God and how He is not the one who tempts us when we face temptation, but that we ourselves are responsible for our sin.

It not only reminds me of how I should weep over and beg God for forgiveness of my sins, but also how I should thank Him more and more because He has blessed me so much. Not with nice things or cool friends, though I am thankful for those as well, but with the knowledge of His Son and the grace with which He has saved me, for it is not anything else in the world that is the treasure of heaven, but it is God Himself and His eternal tangible presence that is the true reward and the true treasure of eternity.

I can belive it i read this exact section of verses today (Isaiah 40:28-31) a tried to memorise them!

Does your music glorify God? Is Art first in your life or is God? John 3:30

this verse really struck me when i read it. It really made me think about if Manga and anime were getting more important than God in my life. This verse encouraged me to try and read the Bible every day not just when I think I have time, cause i have to make time for God

Jude 24-25 - "Now to Him who is able to keep you from stumbling and to present you blameless before the presence of His glory with great joy, to the only God, our Savior, through Jesus Christ our Lord, be glory, majesty, dominion, and authority, before all time and now and forever. Amen."

What really sticks out to me about this verse is that God is able to keep us from falling into sin. It's the perfect answer to so many people, like myself, who struggle with one sin or another and constantly ask ourselves how to be free from it. Simply run to Christ and follow Him and He will deliver you from sin, just as the Scriptures promise that He will in 1 Corinthians 10:13.
