Look. Microsoft are a bunch of rip offers, geez. Seriously, can they do SOMETHING with their own creativity? Basically what Sony and Microsoft did was an attempt to reach a broader audience with the motion camera/stick. It's nothing new, and Nintendo already brought the motion sensing to the market, so they should come up with something on their own. I mean, sure, the Natal one looks rather intresting, but the Wii is BASED on motion, means all titles include motion controlling in some way. I don't think developers for big titles like MGS4, Halo etc will use the Natal etc.

project natal is interesting for me as a PS3 and 360 owner... i dont have a wii although i hate microsoft for being so greedy they even though make a motion sensor just to tell theyre audience that "we are capable of everything" making the fanboys boast about the system they own...... however i would prefer wii because gaming is meant to have a controller (made by japs so i trust the hardware functions)

If you ask me, project natal is only going to distance the xbox from the hardcore gamer. This is kinda what nintendo did with the wii. they distanced themselves from the hardcore gamer so they could make more money by making a crap load of casual games. And how exactly would you would play a shooter with project natal (without an extra peripheral)? Seriously how? Just like nintendo, Microsoft will sacrifice the hardcore gamer for the more money...

Haha nope, you're wrong. Nintendo introduced the powerglove before all that.

Well. That's exactly what the powerglove was based on. You place three sensing cameras on your TV, that will detect tne motion. It's the same shit except that you're holding something. They did what they could at that time, now you can do even more. But it's obvious that Sony decided to rip off that idea, then Microsoft. It's the truth.

even so u cant say sony ripped em off when the eyetoy was different (controller free) they may have had the same idea but its still something new in a way, prjoect natal is the exact same. the thing is they are all aimed at casual gamers even the wii its jst for casual games and like some1 already sed b4 ur not gnna c games like halo, mgs, gears use these things. at least the the controller thingy sony showed at e3 had hardcore games inmind with the fps mode but i still think it will jst b used for casual games and silly downloadable games of the psn.

Project natal is cool but can u imagine playing a driving game, how retarded will u look. On the dashboard i wouldnt mind it but during a game it just ruins it. The controller can't be replaced it's what makes gaming awsome. u cant play a shooter without a controller just dumb. Microsoft is going to get blown out of the water by sony's new eyetoy. assasins creed would be awsome with that.

I doubt anything meaningful will come out of Project Natal. The consoles don't have the processing power to do much of what was promised. Voice recognition in games is FAR from being fully realized, at most the technology is noticing slight inflections and such.

We're years from having the hardware capable of utilizing such advanced control systems.

That being said, I think Project Natal is an extremely original idea with immense possibility. The developers may need to work around the limits of current technology, and much like earlier console generations, these limits cultivate creativity. I don't think we'll see any game with complexity greater than the Ricochet demo at E3. This is compounded by the fact that each console will have it's on unique controller meaning any third party will have to focus on three separate projects for a multiplatform release. Much of what Wedbush-Morgan analyst Michael Pachter has said is generally correct, this Project won't see the light of day until something close to 30 pieces of software are announced.

it looks cool but i'm not really into motion games, i'd rather play rpg while sitting on my fave couch rather than standing and playing modern warfare7 or whatever without a controller or using a stick. i mean yeah it's cool but where the fuck are the 360 games??? well yeah probably gears of war w/c is the only worth playng on the 360 but new HALO?? oh come on where sick of it, halo 2 was good but 3 was a letdown for me.
