I love Crunchyroll.
Don't you?
There is only one slight little problem...
]Crunchyroll is a Youtube clone because of it's formatting.

Unfortunatlly, things are quite complicated for this extraneous website. The Crunchyroll owners agree that it will take videos if the appropriate DMCA paperwork is filed, but will not actively police videos at the point of upload. For some strange reason, the copyright owners do not care (or most likely are bribed) about this. I was completely taken aback by the sheer imbincilleness of this result. To put it in simpler terms, that's second to outright stealing it. So, in the end, there continues to be a crudload of copyrighted material on this site.

But that's not what I'm getting at. An equal # of crudload of people illegally download this stuff anyway. No one's done anything about it so I'm okay with that.

No...

I'm worried that not a single CR user that I know of (besides me) has ever even suggested the fact that CR is "stealing". After all, we use CR as a safe haven. A place like Facebook or Myspace (both of which I hate) that we can get out and express ourselves. Be happy. But WHY has no one ever brought it up? Isn't it our-you could say- duty to point out blemishes in the natural system in which we manipulate and use to our extent. Has no one not seen this dark blob on the white canvas? Please, I am confused by this oblivion of minds. Can someone please speak up as to why they did not see this? I really need to know.

Please post the answer.
Thank you

(P.S. Could you try not to write anything offensive or morally hurtful? I would really appreciate it. Only use constructive criticism please )

You've totally mistook something
Crunchyroll is a Youtube clone?

The owners very much take care of this website. The Crunchyroll owners agree that it will take videos if the appropriate DMCA paperwork is filed but will not actively police videos at the point of upload and good on them, they don't have to due to a wonderful thing called a User Agreement. For a perfectly normal and understandable reason, the copyright owners do not care (or most likely are bribed) about this, however, the most probably likelihood is that they don't come to Crunchyroll very often and see their content has been uploaded by a user. I was completely taken aback by the sheer imbincilleness(...?) of this result. To put it in simpler terms, that's users failing to comply with T&C. So, in the end, there continues to be a crudload of copyrighted material on this site.

But that's not what I'm getting at. An equal # of crudload of people illegally download this stuff anyway. No one's done anything about it so I'm okay with that.

In response to the underlined, bold, italic and purple caption-

Because people come to CR primarily to indulge in their anime interests. A main feature of this website is to host anime and that's what people will look for. The anime on Crunchyroll is more often than not great quality, therefore, if a member violates T&C and uploads an anime they shouldn't it's likely to be HQ and very appealing to a viewer. Now, the viewer is quite obviously seeking to watch the said anime or wouldn't have stumbled across it. Does the user A) watch the HQ version on CR or Look elswhere on YouTube or somewhere else for a poorer quality version...?

If you're worried CR is stealing, rest assured they're not, CR actively removes anime that violates copyrights and that is completely evident in the Copyright Policy and Terms of Service policy

Crunchyroll offers a method for copyright infringement to be reported
Copyright Infringement Notification
Crunchyroll.com respects all copyright and license owners and adheres to the Digital Millenium Copyright Act.

* If you are a content owner and would like us to help distribute your content, contact us.
* If you would like your content removed from this website, follow the instructions below.

To file a copyright infringement notification with crunchyroll, you will need to send a written communication that includes substantially the following (please consult your legal counsel or see Section 512(c)(3) of the Copyright Act to confirm these requirements): blah blah

Also, Crunchyroll's users are responsible for the content they choose to upload
Copyrighted Materials: No Infringing Use.

You will not use the Site or Services to offer, display, distribute, transmit, route, provide connections to or store any material that infringes copyrighted works or otherwise violates or promotes the violation of the intellectual property rights of any third party.

Finally, addressing your concern about whether or not people care, they don't. Raise your glance to the previous paragraph. People are actively searching to view anime they want to watch for free so why would they care? Unless they own the company that distributes the anime they shouldn't. Crunchyroll is in no immediate threat of being closed because they remove material. As for supporting the anime industry if users are fans of the anime it's likely they'll purchase said material.

My advice, don't worry about it. I hope I've addressed your concerns and by no means was this aimed to be offensive, simply informative.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Short story
Crunchyroll has a Terms of Use and Copyright Policy that means they're not responsible for uploaded content as long as they actively remove it - which they do. Meaning they're not stealing.
In relation to users not being concerned this is due to people knowing HQ is better than Low Quality and free is better than paying. Truth.
How is youtube anything like C.R? Youtubers can upload random things, well C.R is strictly asian anime/drama media based on partnership. Users can't upload media anymore. If you think this is stealing, you should have been here 8 months ago when we had media that was uploaded by random users.
Youtube has a slogan Broadcast yourself upload your own videos as long as its not too offensive to the public. Crunchyroll is a site for Anime fanatics looking for freebies. some Anime fan just use CR for new issues and go to Asian TV or other site to download Animes.
