It's already been mentioned several times in this thread, but Claymore deserves to be mentioned again. For the first 24 episodes it was one of the coolest things i'd ever seen, then the final two episodes happened. Yeah the anime had overtaken the manga, but not only was it a massive non-ending they basically screwed up any possibility of continuing the story at a later point.

Agreed! when I watched the last episode i was thinking that's it? I wanted it to end differently and the last episode seemed rushed.

OMG I know right, the first season was sooo good but I didn't really like the direction the second season went, and it go really bad near the end.
