I'm gonna make the first topic/poll, I'm bored
So, What are your expectations about Aoi Hana?

Is it gonna be extreme manga-related or just some manga story in it with fillers?
Post your thought here...

And what do you think about just 11 episodes? To low?

Don't know anything about it so my expectations are nil.
First episode was very ... pretty and sweet though.

It's a JC Staff production, so I expect it to be mainly the manga with a little creativity thrown in around the edges. If anything changes, it's likely to be the ending given their track record.

11 episodes is low...hrmmm maybe they're testing the water? It is afterall a rarity to have an anime that has yuri moreso in the foreground of the story than background, and so far it hasn't pander to fanservice (which is a positive thing). I'd like to see it continue beyond 11 episodes since I heard the manga is still ongoing, but that all depends on the the support the show receives in Japan .

Heres whats gonna happen. All the people with weak stomachs don't watch this one. Theres going to be lots of blood and gore in this one. Really the premise of this story is they are long lost friends but the reason they haven't seen each other in a long time is because they are both undergoing experiments on their bodies to change into cyborgs. Now at the end there will be a huge fight probably 4 episodes long with long amounts of staring at each other and talking with one another about how they used to be friends. Then finally in the last episodes they will unite and destroy the ones that made them the way they were. But little do they know the scientists that made them this way, banded together to make a super cyborg in doer to defeat them. Then they realize with the bond of friendship they can defeat the super cyborg. And then when they win, they will make sweet, sweet love, which will change the rating of this show to nc-17 and make it a hentai.

LOL. But little do they know that the defeated cyborg was actually Skynet. Unable to be fully vanquished, like any reasonable villain, Skynet "will be ba'ch" bigger and better than before in Series II (Goddamn mechs) to terrorize our heroines who at that point have reached a plateau in their relationship where boredom and unsatisfaction is the everyday norm. They use this common foe to rejuvinate their bonds with one another and re-establish the ecchi spice in their lives--not to pander to the audience, of course. Now we have two hot cyborg chicks with guns (big, compensating guns) who will fight to the death for one another and against the world which can't accept them for not being human--forget being gay for each other. Mind you, we havn't even gotten to the zombies yet.

I enjoy Takako Shimura's works. I particularly like how she tends to focus more on actions than thought/spoken words in her work to bring the story accross, and I hope the anime is more of the same. So far it has been. The main characters come off as pretty solid and the art/character expression isn't something to scoff at.

Is it just me or is the relationship btw Fumi and Ah-chan emphasized more so in the anime? I guess that's what you can expect when Ikuhara Kunihiko is doing the opening sequence. lol. The nakedness at the end especially raised my eyebrows--only because I wasn't really expecting it. Other than that, it's all pretty low on fan service so far, and even in that scene itself, after I got over the lack of clothes, what I really noticed was how they were looking at each other.

I'm also looking forward to Sasameki Koto. (*crosses fingers*) C'mon '09!!!
By the way, happy fourth of July everyone!

Well, I expect for them to do alot of condensing of the overall stories in the Manga if they are actually going to get anywhere in 11 episodes.

I mean, its only in the 3rd volume page 138 that Fumi confesses to Ah-chan that she was her first love from when they were little, and doesnt really go anywhere after that so far except for showing that Ah-chan has been constantly wondering if Fumi was still in love with her.

Yea, I foresee a lot of condensing and story being cut out from whats in the Manga, or this Anime series is going to be boring.

I think the scene at the end of the opening sequence with them in the pool and A-chan spreading the flowers across Fumi's face is really sensual and sweet...but heck what do i know

We should write an anime script. I especially like the part where they fight to the death for one another and against the world which can't accept them for not being human--forget being gay for each other.

We'll save the zombies for season 3. Remember with the proper amount of staring at each other and powering up episodes we can make this into dragonball z

As written on the offical announcement:

"The first episode has already aired for everyone to watch! All future episodes will be launched every Wednesday at 12:00 pm PDT to our members first and non-members can enjoy it a week after. "

There you have it. Next Episode will be this Wednesday (for the subscribers at least).

11 episodes? Please, that´s horrible! We´ll need more Aoi Hana.
The first episode looks great, the voice acting is marvelous... the manga is good as well, so I think that 11 episodes won´t cover all the manga story line.
