k-dramas: Job Well Done (Good Job <2x>), Boys Before Flowers (actually finished this drama even though I couldn't finish watching its J-version), City Hall, The Great Queen Seondouk (<3)

j-dramas: BOSS & Tenchijin (ongoing) -- couldn't watch or finish any more j-dramas after these 2.

Keep in mind I only watched/tried about ten of the dramas listed, which is very few compared to how many there are available.

Best J-drama: BOSS for 1st, QED for 2nd. It's not too often I find dramas that draws me in in that certain way but I'm glad to have found two this year.
K-drama: Boys Before Flowers. To be fair, this was the only K-drama I watched from that list. I was really against watching it when it first came out (partly because I was so sick of hearing about it) but then I was suffering from such boredom that i gave it a try. I still like Hana Yori Dango better but I did end up liking this more than I expected (it's certainly better than Meteor Garden -- which I do think it resembled a lot more in the vibe it gave off) I was happy this drama made the friend of the main character a lot stronger and a little less desperate as well as how they went into her story more, though it was unbalanced compared to the fourth F4 who I felt barely got any lines.
