I think yes cause that would make it more better than start the whole series over again! Plus I feel like there is more to the end of the first series!

I disagree. If you read the manga it is obvious that the Anime is largely divergent. In fact after a certain point in the first anime you really feel that the writer's just started making things up and trying to connect loose strings that were never meant to connect. The manga is gorgeous in it's development and so full develops side characters that it feels so real and deep. Half way through the first anime you can tell they were grasping at straws, any straws they could.

After reading further into the Manga and watching the first few episodes of Brotherhood the first Anime seems so ill begotten. Many characters such as the Homunculus, Roy Mustang, Riza Hawkeye, Selim Bradley, Rosa, and Hoenhiem were rather mistreated by the first anime.

I'm very much excited by this remake and I can not wait until they get into the new material.

the animation of the first series was good enough, so why redo it?. we need more variety and I have not read the Manga. so knowing the second series followed it more faithfully is a big bonus for me

It makes me soo confused specially that I haven't watched the first few episodes of the first FMA BUT, I'm certain that there are things that aren't matched on the first anime. As of now I still like the first version, at first I really thought that this Brotherhood would be the continuation of the movie (in which if my memory serves me right, they ended up living on the other side of the gate)

I do but then I dont.

Brotherhood is supposed to follow the Manga (which confused me when the Ice Alchemist Isaac comes from no where. . . he wasnt even in the manga), And there's more to the story of brotherhood/ the manga thatn seems more interesting then the First series. Dont really want to spoil too much of the manga.

But then there's the half where they left us with the movie... Who's the Fuhrer? Does Roy ever become fuhrer after that? What happens to hawkeye and the others, and alphonse and edward? do they ever come back. . .? or do they just live normal lives like nothing of the elric brothers ever happened? O_o; (does riza get with roy?! jk jk jk).

But yeah I do and I dont. . . lol.

Before answering, that I think I will say no. To continue would not make a lot of fans unhappy, including me... Lol. I'm sure many were unhappy with the endings, the story development. I think its best to restart on another note.

About the ice alchemist... He was just there to add more action and... introduce several characters at one shot? Because they skipped out a bit on the scenes which introduced some of the characters.. (roy mustang for example, was introduced only after the Terrorist train hijack incident in the manga... That incident did not appear in the anime) and maybe something sorta like a prelude or prologue. That's my guess. But issac spiced up and set a nice pacing for the action and story development. So I have no complaints.

So the second series gets better?
I finished watching the first series, and was annoyed that they seemed to pull everything together too quickly to get it to an end. I mean, killing 2 homonculus in one episode? The ending was incredibly rushed.

However, Brotherhood so far seems a little force-fed; also there's a whole bunch of typical anime stereotypes thrown in. Hoping it doesn't disappoint.

I started reading the manga and afterwards I wanted to check out the anime. But i was highly disappointed after I watched most of it. The first Full metal alchemist anime has absolutely nothing to do with the originally manga.
When I finished the anime I saw that they had made a remake of the first anime and I checked it out. It was completely awesome and I must say that I am just as impressed by the manga as I am with the anime ( Brotherhood). I'm glad they made Brotherhood otherwise I would have been really disappointed in the anime
