how do they pick crunchyroll mods
Posted 7/5/09
hey i have been pondering this. I have been on crunchy roll for a while and have seen countless mod requests. A couple of my friends even got picked up. I have applied for all that i have seen, but i have never been selected. I am always towards the middle, and this got me thinking. I know its a better thing to be earlier, but does who ever selects mods read all the posts. If i was him i would pick the best out of the first 100, so now do you think that the mods read all the post.

People just apply, And those who seem best suited are chosen.

I am not sure if the mods pick from every single person, but I do think that the mods are either looking for someone that they get along with, or someone whose post stands out, or is unique. If I had to guess, I do not think the mods looks at every application.

Actually we do read all the applications and posts but more times than not, we will have someone in mind as we frequent the forums or the libraries a lot naturally whilst we are carrying out our modding so we notice people who help in the forums, make reports, that kind of thing.

It doesn't hugely influence our decision when reading the applications but it obviously helps if we have seen evidence of you helping out rather than you just stating it in your post.
