i spent a few hours at the airport in Anchorage once. the view of the mountains outside was really beautiful (and frozen since it was january). i want to see the aurora borealis.

the lack of an apostraphe in Seward's ice box. so you suck using the english language. and that Seward's ice box was only reported by 1 newspaper. It is more commonly referred as Seward's Folly but then again that was reported by 1 newspaper at that time. Most people thought it was a sound investment especially after they found all that gold. So using Seward's Ice box to refer to Alaska is ignorant. But i don't think they even teach that much in the lower 48.
