Well, I know I write it because sometimes coming up with you're own ideas for stories is tiring. Writing fanfiction is a nice break. Everyone knows the characters, you know the characters. However sometimes that can make it hard and a challenge. I guess I just write it for a little twist and for other people to enjoy.

It comes from extreme lack of boredom, and random thoughts like 'I wonder what Naruto would do in a ballet theatre...' 'Imagine if Gaara's mother lived and cared for him' 'What if I was in the story' and other such stuff.

My characters kind of have a mind of their own, for example my oc Kaori, who is most likely to make the most stupid decisions... to save someone else's life.

Cuzz you suck at drawing and you have no other means to share your idea in a small way, even though you rather be able to draw everything

I myself love writing fan fiction because I can express myself through words and stories. I have never been able to do that in real life, for I am a homeschooler. I don't have many friends that way. One reason I like writing fan-fiction is that I can control everyone like little puppets. It's fun. :3

I write it to express my feelings toward someone.I can do whatever I want with any character and since I will only keep it to myself, nobody will get pissed off over it :P

Wish fufillment.

They sometimes want the anime/manga or book to end a certain way so they write it out for themselves.
It's all,

writing fanfiction for me is what helps me get better in writing actual stories. For if i have an idea when writing fanfiction and i cant use it for the actual story i'll write it down in my idea journal and use it for an actual OC (Original Character or Original Creation). So Fanfiction is what helps me come up with bigger ideas for OC's. One day I'll become a great author just like some of the greatest authors out there!

Like you guys, I also want to express my feelings as well. And there would be times where I bring characters from other series to "paint" my original stories based on the episode. Or sort of a "Final Mix" (if you will).

For those that played Final Mixes of Kingdom Hearts, you'd know what I mean ^^. Like the story would be extended or have a different story completely

And I also tend to do a "what if", like what if this were to happen.

I like fanfictions but only if they're written by people who write well I guess? If the writing skill sucks I'm not gonna read it.
